Early cultivation and unusual opportunity

Kedi came from the Yuanchen Universe Kingdom. Although he had cultivated longer than Yu Duan, he remained an ordinary Star Level Fighter for decades before his explosive improvement during the Universe Genius Competition. Qinghuan King identified him as the kingdom’s foremost genius and warned Yu Duan that he would be his greatest long-term competitor 45 49.

His rapid growth was linked to fusion with the Heart of Time and Space. Chaos City Lord detected a hundredfold life gene level and intertwined black-and-white patterns within his gene chains. Such fusion normally causes genetic collapse and death in flesh-and-blood lifeforms; Kedi’s survival was considered a miracle and a top-tier cosmic opportunity 59.

Universe Genius Competition

Kedi emerged as one of the Trial Tower phase’s leading contestants. On the sixth tower’s final floor, a sudden illusion caught him unprepared and dissolved his domain. He survived the ensuing attack, then revealed his time-space-fire domain and over a thousand Spatial Phantoms. He subsequently cleared the seventh tower’s second floor, reached its third floor, and finished first in the trial rankings 49 50 51.

During the elimination rounds, he approached Yu Duan openly and invited him for a drink. Their friendliness did not lessen their competitive drive: both advanced to the final five and prepared to face each other at full strength 53.

In their final battle, Kedi possessed greater speed and power, while Yu Duan’s more precise movement compensated for Kedi’s less-developed law application. The shrinking arena reduced Yu Duan’s room to maneuver, allowing Kedi to land the decisive strike and win the tournament 54.

Chaos City and rivalry with Yu Duan

Kedi chose the Universe Chaos Tablet, matching his simultaneous study of time and space. His early Heavenly Bridge achievements repeatedly set the benchmark for his cohort 60 61 69 71.

He initially relied heavily on his talent and cultivated less diligently than his teacher advised. As the latter 72 essences became harder to comprehend—and Yu Duan caught up to the eighth Heavenly Bridge level—Kedi acknowledged his complacency and committed to greater effort 73.

Their rivalry continued through Universe Level qualification battles. Kedi won an earlier match through superior law affinity, but Yu Duan later defeated him without illusions, using the seventh level of the Light and Time Sword Technique, Reflecting Star Sea. Kedi thanked him for winning through direct combat rather than exploiting his weaker illusion resistance 88 95.

World Master, death, and resurrection

Kedi’s accelerated Domain Lord progress revived discussion of him and Yu Duan as the “Virtual Twin Pride.” By World Master, he had become noticeably steadier and more mature. He later cleared all three Original Tongtian Mountains and entered Chaos City Lord’s personal discipleship 144 182.

While exploring a universe secret realm with Yalunsi, Kedi suddenly fell into a coma without any detectable attack. Yalunsi suspected trouble involving a clone; its last Virtual Universe login placed it in the former Chi God Race territory, now the Twelfth Outer Battlefield 182 183.

The incident involved a Bug Race trap and ended in Kedi’s death after destruction of his Original Core. Yu Duan returned with his corpse, and Chaos City Lord sought Giant Axe Founder’s help. Giant Axe resurrected Kedi shortly before he would have been judged to have exhausted his lifespan, after which Kedi advanced to Immortal 183 188.

As an Immortal, he served in the Taichu Secret Realm under Yu Duan. Much later, Yu Duan guided him to the Universe Master realm 190 220.
