The next day, Scott woke up early in the morning.

At this time, his three roommates were still fast asleep, and Scott could hear their long, steady breathing.

They had gone to bed quite late last night because the mini-concert had ended in a disaster.

Scott admitted that Milton was a composer and cellist full of inspiration, and most of the time, his music was truly amazing.

However, sometimes his inspirations were not easy for others to accept. Especially after he got to know the members of The Weird Sisters, his inspiration started to veer off in strange directions.

During last night's mini-concert, Milton first played a few of his new works, which were beautiful pieces of music that even Scott and the others couldn't help but get lost in.

Afterward, Scott, Roger, and Eddie sincerely praised Milton's stunning musical talent.

Perhaps it was because they gave him too much encouragement, but Milton then played an experimental piece exploring a new style.

This piece was truly terrifying!

The expressions of the three boys slowly froze during the song, and it wasn't until someone knocked on the dormitory door that they were finally released from that horrific "devil's music."

Milton was so unhinged after letting himself go that students living in nearby dormitories came to protest—the terrible noise was disturbing their rest.

This was a huge blow to Milton.

The sensitive boy, having received nothing but negative reviews for his experimental work, suddenly felt that his musical talent didn't deserve his friends' praise at all.

He lost his confidence and sat dejectedly on the dormitory windowsill, looking at the moon and weeping.

As roommates, Scott and the other two boys had to rack their brains to comfort him.

And so, it wasn't until after midnight that Milton finally managed to pull himself together and go to bed.

Scott also secretly vowed that he would never encourage Milton to perform in the dormitory again.

That was simply a disaster.

At this moment, he took his pocket watch from under his pillow to check the time.

It was 7:03 AM, while the school's breakfast time was 8:00–8:30, and classes started at 9:00.

He climbed out of bed and left the dormitory on tiptoe.

After washing up, he returned to the room, changed out of his pajamas, put on his clothes and socks, and then picked up his wand from beside his pillow.

It was a wand made of ebony with a dragon heartstring core, twelve and a quarter inches long.

Scott still remembered that Ollivander, who sold him this wand, had been so excited that he talked to him for a long time.

He said that this jet-black wand wood had an impressive appearance and reputation, making it perfect for all kinds of combat magic and Transfiguration.

He also told Scott that owners of ebony wands were often non-conformists, highly individualistic, or comfortable with being an outsider.

Therefore, the perfect match for an ebony wand was someone who could hold fast to their beliefs and not easily waver in their goals, no matter how much external pressure they faced.

As for the dragon heartstring, it generally produced the most powerful wands and was capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tended to learn faster than other types.

If they could win the loyalty of their original owner, they could change allegiance, but they always maintained a close bond with their current master.

Finally, he "predicted" that Scott would be a wizard who was difficult to sway from his goals and would be very skilled at Transfiguration and combat magic.

Scott still couldn't help but smile when he thought about the experience of buying his wand; he was very satisfied with it.

He turned the wand upside down and slid it into the holster fixed to the lining of his robe. He then took a copy of The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 4 and a brand-new notebook from the bookshelf by his bed, picked up a quill from the pen holder, and turned to leave the dormitory, closing the door softly behind him.

They had Charms class that morning, taught by the Head of Ravenclaw House, Filius Flitwick, and Scott decided to go to the common room to preview the textbook content before breakfast.

Come to think of it, because Scott's performance in Transfiguration class far exceeded his performance in Charms, Professor Flitwick had once been a little disappointed in him.

Of course, Scott knew that the cute little old man was just being stubborn with Professor McGonagall.

A Ravenclaw student performing most prominently in the Gryffindor Head's class made him feel a bit embarrassed.

Once he realized that Scott's brilliance in Transfiguration was simply due to talent, and not because he lacked interest or was lazy in other subjects, he became kind and attentive toward Scott again.

After they became familiar, he even joked with Scott once: "Mr. Trollope clearly possesses the personality Hufflepuff likes and the Transfiguration talent Gryffindor likes, yet you were sorted into Ravenclaw, which shows that wisdom is the most prominent trait in you."

Scott replied sincerely: "...A good personality makes one more popular, and good talent makes learning a subject easier, but only superior wisdom can take a wizard further..."

In short, Professor Flitwick was very happy after hearing his answer and wished he could add a hundred points to his house on the spot.

But he obviously couldn't do that, so he chose to reward Scott with a notebook on Charms.

It was a notebook that Professor Flitwick had written himself while organizing the fundamentals of Charms years ago.

Although a copy of this notebook was kept in the Ravenclaw common room library, the one Professor Flitwick gave Scott was the original, and its value was completely different.

Unlike a copy, which was equivalent to a Muggle book, magic notes written by a powerful wizard himself often carried some magical properties.

The most fundamental function of this magic was to make it easier for the reader to understand what the author intended to convey.

Professor Flitwick was clearly still unwilling to accept that he had "lost" to Professor McGonagall, and he hoped to use this method to spark Scott's interest in Charms and encourage him to catch up with his progress in Transfiguration.

Later, this notebook did indeed help Scott a lot.

After spending a great deal of his spare time studying the notes, he built a solid foundation in Charms.

This allowed him to make significant progress in his Charms studies.

Although there was still a slight gap compared to his performance in Transfiguration, it was already enough to make Professor Flitwick very satisfied.

Therefore, although Scott had the most talent for Transfiguration and Professor McGonagall had helped him quite a bit, the professor he liked and respected the most remained Professor Flitwick.

Scott walked through the deserted corridor and down the stairs to the common room, only to discover that it was not entirely empty at this hour.

A small boy was curled up on a large sofa by the fireplace, fast asleep.

It was a first-year student who had just enrolled this year.

Scott did not know why a first-year would be sleeping here so early in the morning, so he walked a little closer.

Although the boy was still in his sleep, his somewhat pale complexion, slightly swollen red eyes, and the tear tracks on his face all indicated that he seemed to have been crying for a long time.

"Hey!"

Scott reached out and tapped him on the shoulder, and the boy opened his eyes in a daze.

"First-year, why are you sleeping here? Is it because you were too excited and got up too early?" Scott teased.

"I..." Tears immediately welled up in the boy's eyes, his voice trembling with a sob, "I've been sleeping here since last night..."

Scott frowned and asked him, "What happened?"

The boy said tremblingly, "Th... they wouldn't let me into the dormitory!"

At this, Scott's frown deepened even further.

He could not understand why such a thing would happen in Ravenclaw.
