Role in Spirit Master Cultivation
A spirit master with Innate Full Soul Power can obtain a first spirit ring immediately after awakening their martial soul, completing the transition from spirit apprentice to Spirit Master 5.
A single-martial-soul spirit master can absorb no more than nine spirit rings in their lifetime. The spirit skills obtained from those rings determine the intensity and variety of attacks performed through the martial soul 5.

Appearance
Spirit rings manifest as luminous bands of spirit power. They can condense above a slain spirit beast's body, descend onto the absorber, and later rise from beneath the spirit master's feet when activated 5 6 31.
- Xu Yuan's first ring appeared as faint yellow light after the death of the Three-Headed Horned Dragon 5.
- Hu Liena's third ring condensed as a purple ring above the Nine-Tailed Sky Fox 31.
- Xu Yuan's fourth ring was deep purple after the Tailless Beast was killed 80.
- After absorbing his sixth ring, Xu Yuan displayed two yellow, two purple, and two black rings 98.
Acquisition and Absorption
- A suitable spirit beast is killed, causing a spirit ring to condense above its corpse 5 31 47 80.
- The spirit master summons their martial soul and guides the ring onto it or directly onto themselves through spirit power and consciousness 5 47 97.
- The ring's energy enters the body; absorption can cause intense heat, physical pressure, or a prolonged period of cultivation 5 80 97.
- Once the process is complete, the ring settles alongside the user's existing rings and knowledge of its spirit skill appears in the user's mind 47 80.
High-level protectors commonly guard the absorber against outside threats. Yue Guan guarded Xu Yuan during his first-ring absorption, while Gui Mei protected Hu Liena during her third-ring absorption 5 31.
Selection and Limits
Skill Selection
Yue Guan advises prioritizing augmentation-type spirit skills for the first four rings. Unlike single-use attack skills, augmentation skills can last for minutes, improve every attack during their duration, and provide a greater margin for error in combat 5.
After the fifth-ring Soul King stage, ten-thousand-year rings undergo a qualitative increase in power, making continued reliance on augmentation skills less desirable 5.
Beast Compatibility
- Rings from spirit beasts of the same type as the user's martial soul are considered naturally suitable. They also have a slightly higher chance of producing a spirit bone 31.
- A ring must remain within the user's physical tolerance. Xu Yuan set a target of roughly 7,000 years for his fourth ring, judging more than 8,000 years dangerous at his level 79.
- Absorption difficulty does not always correspond neatly to the estimated age of a ring: Xu Yuan expected his fourth-ring absorption to be easy but required nearly a full day to complete it 80.

Exceptional Effects
- Absorbing the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger's ring transported Xu Yuan's consciousness to a mysterious palace and initiated the Nine Trials of Creation. The first trial requires him to absorb at least six soul bones to begin Soul Bone Armorization 97.
- Following that absorption, Xu Yuan received a flower-shaped mark on his forehead and exhibited the aura known as Divine Favor 98.
