"Give me a reason."
"I feel like I should be able to help out a bit, consider it compensation for my previous behavior."
The man in armor said in a low voice.
He couldn't exactly tell the other party that he had been starving since yesterday and just wanted to eat some meat, could he?
That would be too embarrassing.
Of course, what he said wasn't entirely a lie; since he was working so hard to help, he deserved some special treatment.
[You judge his words, feeling that what he said and what he thought are roughly the same, though he did hide some of his inner thoughts.]
[However, these thoughts are inconsequential.]
"What's your name?"
Colin rubbed his chin and asked, "Also, tell me how you plan to do it. Let me see if you can actually be of help."
"Li Hang. If I'm not mistaken, you must have the ability to see through the fog; otherwise, you wouldn't have sent them out, nor would you have blocked us so coincidentally."
Li Hang whispered his thoughts briefly.
In the end, Colin nodded in agreement, letting him join the second team and instructing them to follow Li Hang's suggestions.
"I'll wait for you all here. I hope you can give me a satisfactory answer."
Before long, a team of over a hundred people walked quickly in the direction Colin had pointed out.
If nothing went wrong, they would run into those survivors who had been skulking about, coveting his ore, in about five minutes.
Seeing them head off into the distance, Colin quickly packed up the table and other items, preparing to follow them secretly.
"Aren't you trying to train them and let them handle problems independently?"
Shana was a bit surprised; the Church had such trials as well. She had assumed Colin truly wouldn't participate.
As Colin packed the things he had just taken out, he said nonchalantly, "Are you joking? I feel heartache if even one of my own soldiers gets hurt, let alone if there are casualties."
"I'm letting them gain experience, not sending them to their deaths."
In the fog, four lights moved, and within the glow, shadows loomed.
"Brother Huang, do you have any lewd pictures? Pfft, I misspoke. I mean, Brother Huang, are you really confident? I see a pile of Aberration corpses along this path; they seem quite strong."
The owner of one of the lamps asked, his body stained with some blood from encountering a few Aberrations on the way.
Huang Weiyang pondered as he walked. "They're just ordinary Aberrations. A few hard slashes are enough to kill them; at worst, you'll just get a few scratches."
"So, he shouldn't be that strong."
"There aren't that many Colins in this world."
"If I'm not mistaken, that person probably just produced Black Powder, and he has at most four or five people."
"The first explosion could be heard from so far away, so the yield must be quite high. This means there are plenty of raw materials, most likely a mining area, which is why he's being so wasteful."
"It's a pity he's too green. He doesn't know how to hide or think. Many people in the channel planned to come here, and those few small-scale explosions just now mean they've already clashed."
"It hasn't even been fifteen minutes yet; both sides should still be fighting. Now is the perfect time for us to go!"
"Brother Huang makes sense." Another survivor affirmed his deduction.
A Niter mine that large should be shared by everyone!
This time, they didn't walk long following the footprints before they saw a bright lamp suddenly appear ahead.
The four were startled and quickly huddled together.
Seventeen people. Those people didn't seem to have any intention of hiding, but why were their lamps so bright?
Huang Weiyang and the others exchanged glances without making a move.
Their logic was simple: they were nineteen people against seventeen. Both sides were evenly matched, and they even had the advantage, so how could they retreat?
Just as he was about to ask a question, the survivor in front walked over. As the lights converged, they couldn't help but be stunned again.
Why was the other side's lamp so bright?
"Are you here for the Niter mine?"
Number Two asked in a deep voice, showing no fear toward these lords.
After all, they had just finished off nine of them not long ago.
Except for Colin, they would never feel any fear toward these people again.
Too arrogant, Huang Weiyang thought, glancing unhappily at Li Han, who was standing next to the servant. Is having a big lamp something to be proud of?
He couldn't be bothered to answer; at worst, they would just fight.
"Since you aren't answering, I'll take that as a yes. Now, hand over the Parchment, the Synthesis Table, and the Hurricane Lamp, and come with me. Otherwise, if we start fighting and accidentally hack you noble masters to death, that wouldn't be good."
Number Two looked at them with disdain. "Our Lord said that harmony is the most precious thing."
Too arrogant!
"Is this your idea of harmony?"
Huang Weiyang frowned instantly, looking at Li Hang with great dissatisfaction. Did he really think he was invincible just because he had two extra servants?
Even if there were two, three, or even ten times as many, would he actually be afraid of them?!
He was the residential complex sanda champion, after all!
None of my business, they aren't my subordinates, Li Hang muttered to himself upon feeling that displeased gaze.
Then, he said, "Why are you staring at me?"
"I advise you to just do as you're told, otherwise the outcome will be miserable."
At this moment, he glanced to both sides, and suddenly, the corners of his mouth curled upward:
"I'm waiting for the encirclement, what are you waiting for?"
Li Hang recalled what Colin had said when he blew him up earlier, and couldn't help but borrow the line.
"Heh," Huang Weiyang scoffed, "I thought it was some kind of trick, turns out it's just numbers. For a piece of trash like you, what does it matter if you have twice as many people?"
"In a moment, I'll let you know properly that having more people isn't everything!"
He dared to come here, so naturally, he had his own confidence.
However, just as his voice fell, a lamp suddenly lit up in the surroundings without any warning.
16 people.
Huang Weiyang frowned, but so what?
But the next second, another Hurricane Lamp suddenly appeared.
And then.
32, 48, 64, 80.
A full nine ultra-bright Hurricane Lamps lit up from the surroundings!
There was no way to retreat!
Huang Weiyang went completely numb, his hand gripping the axe trembling slightly.
A full 145 people, each holding an axe, were staring at him.
Huang Weiyang didn't move a muscle, not even daring to breathe loudly, worried that if anything went wrong, these people would rush up and finish him off.
"Are you sure you want to resist?"
Number Two glared at him.
"Just kidding, just kidding. I'm a person who values peace, I don't like using force."
"But you mentioned your lord..."
Huang Weiyang looked at Li Hang in confusion, dying to say that their lord wasn't standing right there!
But unfortunately, he couldn't; that would be a checkmate.
They were checkmated.
"What are you looking at? He is not our lord!"
Number Two scolded.
Li Hang also shrugged: "Don't look at me. If I were you, I'd cooperate honestly. Just a moment ago, all nine of us were steamrolled by the boss. You four still want to turn the tables? It's really hilarious."
Many people knew about it, but what they hadn't noticed was that the light from the Hurricane Lamps could be hidden.
The method was simple: just have the subordinates surround them; it wouldn't affect the effect of the Gray Fog in the area.
However, this thing was like being in the dark under a lamp; most people saw it, but didn't notice it could be utilized.
The reason Colin gave Li Hang a chance was because, after some contact, he discovered that this guy's observational skills were indeed quite good.
Because this was a point that even Colin himself hadn't noticed.
After all, the main enemy for survivors right now was the Aberration, not other survivors.
Li Hang utilized this point, and combined with the "map hack" explosive point provided by Colin, he had nine teams complete the encirclement and cut off their retreat.
