After dealing with Aburame Ryoma, Danzo turned his attention back to Simu—or rather, B.
"Where did your Wood Release ninjutsu come from?"
Danzo's sharp gaze bore directly into Simu's eyes, as though he wanted to see through them and into his heart.
Simu scratched his head. "I came up with it myself."
"You came up with it yourself?"
Danzo had considered that Orochimaru might have taught him the First Hokage's jutsu stored by Konoha, but he had never expected this answer.
Simu nodded obediently. "Yeah. Back then, a whole bunch of kunai flew at me. I couldn't dodge them and got scared, so I shouted without thinking. I didn't expect the tree to just pop out with a bang."
Upon hearing that, Aburame Ryoma's expression turned strange.
Kunai flew at you, and you got scared?
Who the hell had just said, "If this is all you've got, you won't be able to test my talent"?
Danzo looked at the thick trees around them, then at Simu.
A thought suddenly came to him. Could this kid really be a genius?
With that thought, Danzo abruptly made up his mind. "Poisonous Insect, from today onward, Kinoe and B will be personally trained by me."
"Yes, Lord Danzo."
Aburame Ryoma agreed, though bitterness filled his heart.
Sure enough, Lord Danzo has become wary of me...
And that brat's talent is so absurd. Will he replace me someday, leaving me unable to remain Lord Danzo's most useful dog?
The very thought was enough to make Aburame Ryoma panic, yet he had no choice but to accept the reality.
After all, Root had always been a place where only the strong survived. Only those with sufficient talent were qualified to become weapons in Lord Danzo's hands.
Still, no matter what, Lord Danzo still needed him
