When Baki saw Rasa walking uncontrollably toward the Blood Pool, he hurriedly called out.

Under the intense shouting, clarity finally returned to Rasa's eyes.

He pointed at the Blood Pool and said, "Baki, send a ninja down to investigate. There must be an important secret inside!"

Rasa spoke with certainty, but Baki hesitated.

This was the Jashin Temple. No one knew what dangers lurked within the Blood Pool at the center of the shrine. Sending someone down rashly would be no different from sending them to their death.

Ebizo, standing nearby, gave Rasa a deep look before saying to Baki, "I'll do it. I'll send a puppet down to take a look."

With that, he flung out a scroll and summoned a humanoid puppet. Chakra threads gathered in his hand as he controlled the puppet and sent it plunging headfirst into the pool.

Five or six minutes later, the puppet slowly surfaced.

Ebizo shook his head. "I didn't find anything unusual inside."

Rasa frowned slightly. "If there's nothing special about it, why would the Jashin Cult place it in the center?"

Without waiting for Ebizo's reaction, he beckoned an ANBU ninja over.

"Green Scorpion, go down and take a look."

The ANBU ninja called Green Scorpion was one of Rasa's trusted men. The moment he received the order, he leaped into the Blood Pool with almost no hesitation.

"Rasa!"

Ebizo raised a hand to stop him, but it was already too late.

The instant Green Scorpion entered the Blood Pool, countless black curse markings emerged and burrowed frantically into his body like swarms of insects!

Ebizo flicked out Chakra threads, intending to drag Green Scorpion back out, but
