Thinking About Taking Leave or Specifically Writing a Leave Request for a More Formal Approach

Please allow me to take a leave of absence.

Tomorrow is the fourteenth day of the seventh lunar month, Ghost Festival. According to my hometown's customs, the first Ghost Festival after a relative's passing requires a visit to the grave, followed by staying overnight at the ancestral home.

As I've mentioned before, my grandfather passed away last year, precisely during the period I was conceptualizing this book—the lengthy, angst-ridden, and pretentious chapters in Volume 2 stemmed from this.

I need to head back to my hometown early tomorrow, so there will only be one update tomorrow. I will then be taking a leave of absence for the day. I hope for your understanding.
