The Now Publicly Revealed Setting: The Division of Magic Levels

The current cultivation system divides realms into four major stages: Nurturing Life, Human World, Grandmaster, and Free and Unfettered Journey.

Nurturing Life:

The first major stage does not involve nurturing Spiritual Power or practicing Magical Power. Instead, it focuses solely on extending lifespan, hence its name, Nurturing Life.

Nurturing Life is further divided into three sub-realms: Nurturing the Heart, Learning, and Reaching the Heavens. The Nurturing the Heart stage strengthens the soul and enhances consciousness, laying the foundation for perceiving the breathing of heaven and earth. The Learning stage involves extensive study and understanding of predecessors' summaries on the laws of the Great Dao, preparing for integration with the breathing of heaven and earth. Finally, the Reaching the Heavens stage is where one formally connects with the breathing of heaven and earth.

Since these three sub-realms can be cultivated simultaneously, some people collectively refer to this stage as "Reaching the Heavens." The three sub-realms of Nurturing Life correspond to the ancient system's Kai Guang, Xuan Zhao, and Bi Gu stages.

Human World:

The second major stage, where cultivation progresses extremely rapidly under the current system. To prevent cultivation from exceeding the limits of what a cultivator can control, leading to the destruction of their mind and the loss of their Dao heart, cultivators in this stage deliberately slow down their cultivation speed. Instead, they focus on tempering their state of mind, hence the name "Human World."

The Human World stage is also divided into three sub-realms: Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment, and Core Formation. This stage has the least difference compared to the ancient system.

In the Qi Refining stage, cultivators absorb spiritual energy from beyond the heavens and earth to refine Magical Power.

The Foundation Establishment Realm uses Magical Power to forge a foundation for their practice.

The Core Formation stage condenses an inner core based on this foundation.

Grandmaster:

The third major stage. This level demands a higher comprehension of the laws of heaven and earth, making Magical Power less important. Those who achieve this stage can be called Grandmasters.

The Grandmaster stage is divided into: Primordial Spirit, Void Refining, and Nirvana.

In the current system, after Core Formation, cultivators use the Golden Core as a center and their foundation to construct a "miniature heaven and earth" centered around their soul, operating according to the laws of the Great Dao. This is known as the Primordial Spirit.

When the miniature heaven and earth within the Primordial Spirit becomes sufficiently similar to the greater heaven and earth, the cultivator can cease relying on the breathing of heaven and earth. Instead, they can directly refine Magical Power from the void beyond the heavens, achieving an inexhaustible supply, which is Void Refining.

Finally, the miniature heaven and earth drives the continuous sublimation of the physical body, which is Nirvana.

Free and Unfettered Journey:

The fourth major stage, which only has one sub-stage: the Free and Unfettered Stage.

Ancient cultivation system division: Xuan Zhao, Kai Guang, Bi Gu, Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment, Core Formation, Nascent Soul, Dividing the Spirit, Integrated Body, Mahayana.

After the Core Formation stage in the ancient system, a nascent form of a new spiritual body must be nurtured within the Golden Core, known as the Nascent Soul. The breaking of the core and the formation of the infant signifies the Nascent Soul Realm. After the Nascent Soul Realm, cultivators continuously merge their Primordial Spirit with their Nascent Soul. This allows for out-of-body experiences and countless wondrous applications, which is the Dividing the Spirit stage. The Body Integration Realm is the unification of the Nascent Soul with the physical body, forging an supreme spiritual body.

Demon Race cultivation system division: Opening Spirit, Qi Accumulation, Core Formation, Transformation (shapeshifting), Spiritual Power, Demon God, Mahayana.

Beasts that have not yet undergone Opening Spirit are collectively referred to as Fierce Beasts.

Furthermore, some believe that humans are the only demon race that completes "Opening Spirit" at birth.
