Subduing the Nightmare (No More Today)

The Nightmare hatched as a fifth rank creature. As expected of a True Spirit descendant.

"Who are you?"

The Nightmare spoke.

"I am your master. I will raise you well."

Shen Long said.

"I do not need a master!"

The Nightmare's tone was filled with pride.

Blue light blazed from Shen Long's body as he transformed into a Blue Dragon.

The Nightmare was a branch of the Ancestral Dragon, sharing the same lineage as True Dragons.

Black light flared from the Nightmare's body. It showed no fear of the Blue Dragon.

The Blue Dragon and the Nightmare became entangled in battle. In a contest of pure physical strength, the Nightmare was naturally no match. It was sent flying by a swipe of the Blue Dragon's claw.

The Nightmare lunged at him again, refusing to submit to Shen Long because of the gap in their ranks.

More than half an hour later, the Nightmare was drenched in blood, with countless scales fallen from its body. Black light erupted from its body, and its wounds swiftly healed as new scales grew back.

"An Indestructible Body?"

Shen Long sounded somewhat surprised.

An Indestructible Body only appeared in Monster Beasts. It differed from regenerating severed limbs; its recovery ability was far more monstrous.

Even if an enemy smashed a Monster Beast with an Indestructible Body into a heap of flesh, it could still recover completely. However, it would consume a tremendous amount of vital essence. The more times its body was destroyed, the slower its recovery would become, and the more vital essence it would consume.

The Nightmare charged forward again, utterly fearless of death.

"You dare act so wildly before Master?"

Shen Yuling's voice rang out.

As soon as her words fell, the Nightmare stopped in midair, as though it had been imprisoned.
