Sweet without being cloying, it was as refreshing as grass jelly, with the color and form of Guiling paste. It carried faint aromas of various liquors, and once placed in the mouth, it had the delightfully springy texture of chilled jelly. With one gulping bite, one could feel the pleasure of one's teeth slicing through it.
It was simply the best dessert.
