Geography and Hazards
- Dense fog: The fog-covered W-07 region spans more than 100 kilometers in diameter. Aircraft sensors cannot penetrate it, and visibility inside falls to roughly ten meters 160 162.
- Central lake: A lake separates the outer terrain from the central island. Sword-Spine Flying Fish attack those crossing it 167.
- Hostile life: The island contains aquatic monsters, aggressive willow trees, and serpent monsters that attack intruders in the fog 159 162 163.
- Willow forest: Millennium Willow Trees grow inland; Ten-Thousand-Year Willow Trees occupy the deeper core. Their root systems make a direct assault dangerous even for Lin Mo and Wang Keke 167 207.
Resources

| Ten-Thousand-Year Willow Hearts | Treasures of the core area that Lin Mo and Wang Keke could not safely obtain on their own 226 |
| Wood Bud Crystals | Discovered underground after the island was divided between humans and monsters 234 |
History
Lin Mo recalled Mist Island as a possible source of cultivation resources and sought military intelligence before traveling there with Wang Keke, Little White, and the Sky-Piercing Monkey. The military identified the likely location as Zone W-07. Their first expedition found Spirit of Vegetation, then reached the central island and harvested willow hearts while avoiding the strongest trees 158 159 163 167.
Lin Mo and Wang Keke later returned alone to gather higher-quality resources. They fought sea snakes on the outskirts but withdrew after an encounter with a Ten-Thousand-Year Willow Tree's root system 203 204 207. They subsequently sold their intelligence on the island to Hong, prompting a large human expedition 226 227.
Human forces fought the island's monsters and harvested its willow forest. After further fighting, Hong negotiated a boundary along the Central Mountain Range: humans would develop the east, monsters would occupy the west, and neither side would cross into the other's territory 228 230 233. Exploration of the eastern region revealed Wood Bud Crystals 234.
The arrangement ended when a powerful disturbance swept across the island, disabled electronic equipment, and drove both humans and monsters away. Hong and the other human powerhouses then declared Mist Island and its surrounding waters a forbidden zone 236.
Yunmo Planet Ship
- Babata observes the island from the hidden Yunmo Planet Ship beneath it, assessing visitors as possible successors to the ship's master, Hu Yanbo 205.
- Lin Mo suspects the island's unusually abundant resources are bait placed to attract strong candidates. Babata later retrieves scattered Wood Bud Crystals using undetected micro-robots 234 235.
- Luo Feng eventually enters the ship beneath Mist Island Lake and inherits Hu Yanbo's lineage 278.
