The second day of the exam.
Yi Chen had barely managed to get through last night; there were too many summer mosquitoes, and there was always some sparse, rustling noise near the cave.
It seemed that surviving on a deserted island wasn't as easy as Yi Chen had imagined.
Waking up, Yi Chen tidied up a little.
He used a rock to smash open a coconut and started drinking.
Walking out of the cave, the morning sunlight shone through the woods and onto Yi Chen.
It was quite warm.
Yi Chen got up to check the traps he had set yesterday, but there didn't seem to be any traces of animals here.
With no other choice, Yi Chen had to find a relatively sharp stone and select a suitable wooden stick.
He took out the limited tools from his backpack.
He sharpened one end of the wood.
He had simply crafted a wooden fishing spear.
Yi Chen went to the seaside, avoiding people who would annoy him.
Yi Chen avoided the side of the ocean near the Cruise Ship and instead went to the other side of the island to start fishing.
This island was very large; just walking there took a long time.
Yi Chen arrived at the seaside and observed his surroundings.
Finding no one, he took off his clothes, picked up the wooden spear, and jumped into the sea.
The seawater was a bit chilly, and Yi Chen shivered slightly.
Still, he quickly adapted to the water temperature, took a deep breath, and slowly dived into the water.
Dappled light shone through the clear seawater, casting onto sand and rocks of various shapes.
Reefs stood scattered about like small towers.
The visibility underwater was very clear, and Yi Chen's field of vision was exceptionally wide.
He could clearly see small fish swimming in the distance.
Yi Chen's heart was filled with joy.
The water was very clear, and Yi Chen simply assumed that this area of the sea was relatively clean.
Yi Chen searched for prey in the sea; because it was a shallow area, he could quickly surface to replenish his oxygen.
Suddenly, a Fingerprint Fish entered his field of vision, and Yi Chen gripped the wooden spear tightly.
He thrust it out fiercely, but the fish dodged nimbly, and he missed, stirring up the silt on the seabed and obstructing his vision for a moment.
It was Yi Chen's first time fishing, so he panicked and surfaced, gasping for air.
Yi Chen steadied himself, adjusted his state, and dived again.
After a while, he spotted a Stingray approaching a crevice in the reef to forage.
Yi Chen seized the opportunity, exerted force precisely, and the wooden spear pierced straight into the fish's body.
Yi Chen felt a surge of joy and surfaced.
He swam back to the shore and placed the fish on the beach.
He used stones to build a small circle and placed the fish inside.
He got up, looked at this two-pound Red Sea Bream, and then plunged back into the sea.
He caught a four-pound Fingerprint Fish and returned.
Yi Chen took out a towel to wipe his body clean and brought the fish back to the cave.
He started a fire and used branches to skewer the fish for roasting.
Before long, the aroma wafted out, and the roasted fish sizzled with oil; he didn't care about the heat and took a big bite.
Yi Chen couldn't help but complain:
"It's delicious, but it has no flavor."
"Damn it, since I left the class, I don't have any points to use; this is too miserable."
"You just wait, Kushida, if only I hadn't been too soft!"
"And the people in the class, as expected, people are the same everywhere."
Yi Chen slowly finished the fish, and after feeling full, he began to avoid the territory of Class D and look for the territories of other classes.
Yi Chen strolled through the jungle, observing the terrain and rivers, judging where there might be a good vantage point.
Exploring as he went, Yi Chen headed further into the island.
Following the upper reaches of the river, Yi Chen soon arrived at a relatively flat area.
Not far away, there were many tents.
Yi Chen was in the jungle, hiding behind a tree to observe.
He discovered a green card stuck on a stone platform.
Standing over there were a few boys and the purple-haired Kanzaki.
Yi Chen thought for a moment:
Is this an occupation point for Class Ichinose?
Is there any need for me to watch?
Ichinose seems to be of the peaceful faction, but?
Thinking of this, Yi Chen hesitated.
Forget it, let me go see what is going on with Class A first.
Just as he finished saying this, Kanzaki and his group surrounded the green card.
Yi Chen was blocked by the tree and could not see clearly.
He could only see two hands reaching out toward the green card.
Who is it?
When Yi Chen wanted to adjust his position out of curiosity.
He saw Kanzaki holding the card in his hand and putting the green card into his bag.
Yi Chen watched from afar:
Kanzaki, is it?
Is there no precaution at all?
Where is Ichinose?
Yi Chen shook his head and left.
Over at Ichinose's side.
Ichinose was taking a few girls from her class shopping.
Meanwhile, in Class D, the atmosphere from yesterday had vanished into thin air.
Only Sudo Ken was still feeling unhappy on Yi Chen's behalf.
The entire class had reunited once again.
Yi Chen was dispensable.
Yi Chen continued to explore, moving forward onto the island.
Yi Chen looked at the ground and saw many footprints; it looked like people had been passing through here repeatedly.
A group of people came from ahead, and it was Katsuragi from Class A.
Several people looked at Yi Chen with cold expressions.
Yi Chen looked at them awkwardly.
Having done nothing at all, the two sides just stared at each other quietly.
Yi Chen felt truly awkward and was the first to speak:
"Hello."
Katsuragi said calmly:
"Class D's Angela. Yi Chen, right?"
"Why are you here?"
Yi Chen said indifferently:
"Our class had some problems, so I came out."
Katsuragi muttered in a low voice:
"Class disputes? Class D is truly pathetic."
Katsuragi understood what Yi Chen had done in Class D and felt sorry for him.
Katsuragi:
"Then do you need our help?"
Yi Chen looked at the conciliatory Katsuragi and indicated:
"Many thanks, no need. Just walking around."
Yi Chen looked at the people in front of him, and the awkwardness was gone.
As expected, people from Class A are better than those from Class D.
After thinking this, Yi Chen wanted to continue exploring forward.
Katsuragi saw this and used his thick arm to block Yi Chen from moving forward:
"Yi Chen, if you don't need help, it's best not to proceed any further."
"The area ahead is territory we have occupied."
"You know that you cannot enter the territory of another class."
Yi Chen looked at Katsuragi, his heart expressing understanding.
Yi Chen spoke indifferently:
"Since you put it that way, there must be an occupation point ahead, right?"
"I should still be allowed to go and take a look at an occupation point, right?"
Upon hearing this, Katsuragi wanted to intercept him by force.
Yi Chen spoke indifferently:
"Katsuragi, you wouldn't want to start a fight with me, would you?"
"I'm from Class D; if we fight, everyone will have points deducted."
"You should weigh that for yourself."
Hearing this, Katsuragi's opinion of Yi Chen changed.
Katsuragi was somewhat angry:
"Yi Chen, you guy, I actually thought you were some kind of gentleman."
"Turns out you're just like the rest of us."
"However, your tone is very unpleasant."
"Since when can Class A be threatened by others?"
"Angela. Yi Chen, you are very confident."
"The few of us would like to see where your confidence comes from."
Yi Chen heard this and laughed instead of getting angry:
"Wow, Katsuragi, I just thought you were from Class A, and that Class A was full of good people."
"Now you're pulling this on me."
Katsuragi looked at Yi Chen with disdain:
"I misjudged you, too."
Yi Chen's gaze turned sharp.
He snapped a branch off the nearby brush and held it toward the four people in front of him.
The corners of his mouth curled up slightly:
"Katsuragi Kohei."
"What makes you think the few of you can teach me a lesson?"
