Chie Hoshinomiya quickly hit it off with the girls in the class, including Honami Ichinose, chatting happily with no intention of stopping.
The description of Chie Hoshinomiya in the story was too conservative; this teacher doesn't act like a teacher at all.
Kong thought to himself, silently complaining.
After a while, someone finally couldn't sit still anymore.
"Teacher!"
A boy sitting in front of Kong stood up and asked Chie Hoshinomiya, "The enrollment guide seems to say that the homeroom teacher will explain the school rules. Although the school is tuition-free, the guide doesn't mention anything about living expenses or food."
Looking at the boy, Kong thought, So that's Ryuji Kanzaki. A very calm analysis, getting straight to the key point of the problem. He really lives up to his reputation as Honami's strategist in the original work.
"That kind of attitude won't do, Kanzaki-kun."
Chie Hoshinomiya put one hand on her hip and muttered, "Impatience is a big taboo for a popular man. Keeping a cool head is the only way to handle problems better. If you want to get a girlfriend, you must be mature and steady. At least, I like men who are mature and steady, understand?"
After saying this, Chie Hoshinomiya smiled and clapped her hands to get everyone to sit back down.
"When you enrolled, you should have all received the school-issued terminals, right? Now, open them and see if there are 100,000 points deposited," Chie Hoshinomiya said with a smile.
"Wow, one hundred thousand!" a girl in the front row couldn't help but exclaim in a low voice.
"Is it every month? That much?" A boy with glasses next to her pushed them up, and with a bookish caution, he raised his hand and asked, "Hoshinomiya-sensei, may I ask if these points... are distributed like this every month?"
Hoshinomiya-sensei stood on the podium, the usual reassuring smile on her face not wavering in the slightest. The spring sunlight filtered through the clean glass windows, casting a pale golden halo over her gentle silhouette. Her tone was steady, carrying an unquestionable, gentle power that clearly reached the ears of every student:
"Yes."
She paused slightly, as if to give these two words enough time to leave a firm mark on their young hearts. The classroom was so quiet that one could hear the faint sound of the wind outside, and all eyes were focused on her.
"Each student's personal points," she continued, her tone still gentle, yet every word hitting the mark, "will be deposited into your accounts on the 1st of every month, on time and in full."
At this point, she leaned forward slightly, her gaze slowly sweeping over every face in the audience—faces filled with anticipation, curiosity, and perhaps a trace of imperceptible anxiety. Her gaze seemed to make brief, earnest contact with everyone, as if silently conveying a promise.
Then, she stood up straight and added in a voice clearer and more certain than before, as if to dispel any possible doubts:
"And, please be sure to remember—it will be like this every single month, with the corresponding personal points distributed on time. This is not only the school's system but also a form of continuous support provided to all of you."
As her words fell, she didn't immediately shift her gaze, letting that gentle affirmation linger in the air for a few seconds. A very light, relieved sigh sounded quietly in the classroom, immediately replaced by the rustling of pen tips across paper and the sound of slight adjustments in seating. Hoshinomiya-sensei took all of this in, the smile on her face seeming to deepen; it was the peace of mind that comes from seeing important information being properly received.
Heh, distributing the "corresponding" points each month, rather than "one hundred thousand" points—I believe a few people in the class have already noticed this hint.
Kong thought silently.
Chie Hoshinomiya then said, "In this school, points can buy anything. Also, the opening ceremony is in the afternoon, so you are dismissed for now. Kong-kun, stay behind."
Kong was a little surprised that Chie Hoshinomiya wanted him to stay, so he gave Honami Ichinose a look to reassure her.
Honami Ichinose had no choice but to leave the classroom with the other girls in the class.
Chie Hoshinomiya saw that most people had left.
"Come with me, the Chairman wants to see you."
Kong followed his homeroom teacher silently.
After a while, Kong and Chie Hoshinomiya arrived at Chairman Sakayanagi's office.
As soon as Kong entered the door, he saw the back of a girl who looked very elegant, as well as Chairman Sakayanagi, who was chatting with her.
"Chairman Sakayanagi, you wanted to see me?"
Given that there were outsiders present, Kong still addressed Uncle Sakayanagi by his title.
"What are you saying, child? There are no outsiders here; we are all our own people. Your homeroom teacher should also know the inside story," Chairman Sakayanagi said with a smile.
Chie Hoshinomiya was actually very curious about this student who had been parachuted into Class B, but this wasn't the time to ask.
"I see, Uncle Sakayanagi. May I ask who this lady is?"
Kong asked neither humbly nor arrogantly.
"This is Miss Yukino Yukinoshita."
The young girl nodded slightly in response, the corners of her lips curling into just the right arc. She wore a well-tailored Sobu High school uniform; the dark blazer made her skin look even fairer, and the pleats of her skirt swayed gently with her movements. Her gaze was bright and frank as she looked over, carrying a scrutiny that was neither shy nor overly sharp.
"Miss Yukinoshita came here today specifically to see you," Chairman Sakayanagi's voice softened, as if sharing a happy secret. "She attends Sobu High, which is not only a prestigious school, but I hear her grades have always been at the top."
Chairman Sakayanagi turned to Yukinoshita, his eyes full of admiration, then looked back at you, the affirmation in his tone deepening:
"I just chatted with Miss Yukinoshita for a while; she is truly well-spoken and has extraordinary insight." He paused, as if searching for the most appropriate words, then added clearly and slowly, every word sounding carefully considered:
"She is indeed a very, very excellent young lady."
As his words fell, there was a brief silence in the room. The sunlight moved slowly, and dust motes floated in the air. Yukino Yukinoshita maintained her impeccable faint smile, though deep in her eyes, a faint, unreadable glimmer seemed to flash by.
Kong was stunned for a moment, then said, "Miss Yukinoshita, this engagement is nothing more than a joke between adults. Even without the engagement, the Kong family would still help the Yukinoshita family through their difficulties."
"Young Master Kong is joking. I have been looking forward to meeting you for a long time," Yukinoshita replied very calmly after hearing what Kong said.
Yukinoshita is indeed not easy to deal with. If I agree to the engagement, what will happen to little Honami? Kong pondered a countermeasure silently.
"Students at this Advanced Nurturing High School cannot contact the outside world for three years, and they cannot leave the school. I am truly powerless to do anything," Kong said with great regret.
"Cough, cough, cough. You can do it. I allow you to contact the outside world, and you can leave the school during holidays and winter/summer breaks. This is my compensation to you. You were originally supposed to be in Class A, but Arisu was afraid of having no opponents, so she asked me to put you in Class B, and I agreed," Chairman Sakayanagi said slowly.
Yukinoshita looked at Kong's speechless expression, stood up, blew a breath into Kong's ear, and said teasingly, "I am very much looking forward to the story between us, my fiancé."
