Theus had someone send them dossiers on the Mechanical Cathedral, the Candlelight Society, and the Empire. Besides the two of them, he also needed to select a military officer to accompany them and represent Empire Truth on the visit.

As for their regular duties, Zoe mainly handled clerical work and remained in charge of Blood Port. Theus intended to have Chloe fill in for her temporarily. It would mean nothing more than working some extra hours.

After all, they were going to seek technology to restore her body. The overtime was perfectly justified.
