Scepter: "[Named Ones] are very ancient beings. As far as I know, records of their activities date back a thousand years. Every time they appear on the continent, they bring disaster—sometimes the destruction of an entire Church, sometimes the plunge of an entire nation into the abyss. Gradually, their appearance became synonymous with calamity."
Scepter: "That is precisely why nearly every organization treats this matter as taboo. Organizations with longer histories, such as the major Churches, classify information on [Named Ones] as top secret, sometimes even sealing it away and forbidding anyone from reading it."
Captain: "You're saying a single [Named One] can drive an entire nation or Church to destruction?"
Scepter: "Yes. [Named Ones] are that powerful. Of course, they don't directly slaughter their opponents head-on; [Named Ones] aren't that powerful yet. But with their strength, a few schemes and methods are enough to succeed."
The connection fell silent for a moment. No one spoke; they were all shocked by the revelation.
[Named Ones] could actually be this powerful?
One person could destroy an entire organization.
Zoe's lips felt dry. She had always believed Castel was powerful enough—powerful enough to defeat the entire Northern Territory, and now it was even turning its sword toward Rhine.
But that required an entire industrial system, along with the elite Expeditionary Force. Could a single [Named One] really accomplish it alone?
On the other side, Captain's attention was drawn elsewhere.
Captain: "Why would [Named Ones] do this? Destroying nations or Churches... what meaning is there in that?"
Scepter: "I don't know the reason either. No one in this world knows except the [Named Ones] themselves. Negotiating with them, yielding to them, threatening them, even surrendering—none of it is of any use. Their existence seems to be solely for the purpose of bringing destruction.
