Theus casually glanced around, then suddenly froze.
He rubbed his eyes and looked around again.
"Where's the fog?"
The surroundings were nothing but an icy plain. Although the seawater from before had vanished, they were still in the Northern Territory, so there was not much difference. Besides, he could not move anyway, so Theus had not cared much.
But the fact that he could no longer see the white fog concerned him greatly.
"Did Gwen finally take control of the Forgotten Temple?!"
Theus's face lit up. It was his immediate thought. Gwen had always been acting mysteriously; whenever he asked, she said she was dealing with the White Calamity. Theus had always suspected she was merely making excuses, yet he could do nothing about her.
Now this made things easy. If even the fog was gone, then the White Calamity had definitely been dealt with.

He had seen it in the workshop of Castel's Second Textile Factory. That was how they transported cotton there—a tiny cart hauling an enormous bundle of cotton. The cotton was so large that it completely hid the person pushing it, and from a distance, all one could see was a ball of cotton moving.
Theus suddenly shuddered.
