At that moment, mist churned within the White Calamity, and a massive figure slowly poked its head out.

It was a Bone Colossus.

From atop the Bone Colossus's enormous head, a smaller head emerged.

Gwen looked at the train that had stopped in the distance, her expression inscrutable.

She had noticed long ago that something was off about the storm—hard not to, considering it had spent the past few days chasing an airship all over the Northern Territory.

And trailing from that airship was a thread—the very one connected to Miss Scepter in her hand.

The thread was twitching rhythmically, rather like a fountain.

When the airship had run into the train today in its panicked flight, little Gwen had thought it was out of fuel and was finally about to be caught.

But it did not matter. She would step in.

Little Gwen could now control the White Calamity to a considerable extent. She had swept over with the white mist in tow, rubbing her hands together as she waited for the airship to give out so she could make her heroic entrance.

But then that Ignati fellow had wiped out the storm with a few bolts of lightning.

Little Gwen still had not fully processed it.

The Bone Colossus's huge head turned toward the small head atop it, as though asking Gwen what they should do next.

Little Gwen scratched her head.

Then her eyes suddenly lit up. "How about I send the skeletons in the mist over there? There are still plenty of Bone Hordes controlled by the Temple of the Forgotten. It's too slow for me to purify them myself, but that lightning wipes out whole swathes at once."
