Beatrice blinked, somewhat bewildered.

It really was an entire mass of dark clouds, blocking the bright sunlight overhead.

Wait.

Beatrice suddenly realized something. She could clearly see the sunlight above, and the sky around them was perfectly clear—so why were so many clouds gathered around Castel?

A long, melodious whistle drifted over from afar. It was not loud, yet it carried an immense weight, deep and low as though the entire sea were singing.

The clouds parted slightly, and the tips of enormous propeller blades dragged wisps of cloud vapor that had not yet dispersed, tracing elegant arcs through the air.

Beatrice's eyes widened abruptly.

She understood what Zoe had meant. Those dark clouds were the Skyveil Behemoth.

The entire airship burst from the clouds, carrying the storm with it. Sharp white lightning danced like frenzied silver serpents, shrieking across the heavens alongside it.

Thick bolts of lightning flashed again and again, illuminating its dark yellow hull and briefly revealing the sharp shark-tooth paint scheme through gaps in the clouds.

It left the dark clouds behind, but even more formed ahead. The entire airship was like a giant whale, swimming through an ocean of storms.

"Skyveil Behemoth."

Beatrice stared blankly at the enormous presence in the sky.

"Those people really have guts. They actually moved a Storm Generator onto an airship."

"I bet that was Tata's idea."

"One day, Tata's going to get jointly boycotted by the airships' Machine Souls too—just like how he gets cursed at every time he boards one now."

"Hard to say. The Skyveil Behemoth hasn't crashed, and an airship paired with a Storm Generator is actually pretty good. It can even hide in the dark clouds."
