Outside Sunset City, two fast horses galloped past. Behind them, snowflakes scattered in the wind. Before long, the horses raced into the ancient city and headed east.
In a small courtyard in the eastern part of the city, Xin Yu took out the new clothes she had made and stepped forward.
"Try them on. Do they fit?"
Xin Yu undid the buttons and helped the man before her put them on.
"I never expected that, as a princess, your needlework would be even better than that girl Ruoxi's," Ning Chen said with a light smile as he looked at his clothes.

As the two spoke, hoofbeats sounded outside the courtyard, followed shortly by a knock at the door.
"Guests have arrived. Xin Yu, go prepare some tea," Ning Chen instructed.

Ning Chen looked toward the courtyard entrance and spoke calmly.
With a creak, the courtyard gate opened, and two figures entered, bowing respectfully in unison.
"Greetings, Martial Marquis."
Marquis Dongzhi and Liu Zong, the current head of the Ministry of Justice, had come in person to meet the Marquis of Knowing Fate of Great Xia.

Ning Chen answered, then turned and walked to the table. "You two have traveled for so many days and must be tired. Come in and have some hot tea."

The two replied respectfully and walked into the room.

Xin Yu came over carrying tea and served each of the three men.
