The next afternoon, Irene arrived at the destination.
The extras were already in place and starting to change into their costumes one after another, while Rachel and Edward stood outside the door running through their lines.
"Hi, Boss." Edward spotted Irene first and quickly greeted her.
Irene walked up and said, "I have to thank you on behalf of the crew for your generosity again."
For the last film, Edward had lent the crew his limited-edition sports car; for this film, he had lent them his relative's villa. If he was in the next film, would he have to contribute his private jet?
"Don't be so formal with me. The villa is just sitting empty anyway. I'm sure the crew will handle the cleaning after you're done using it, and my uncle still has one maintenance fee credit left," Edward said nonchalantly.
"How are you two doing with your lines? Is tonight's scene going to be a problem?" The focus of tonight was the kiss between the two of them in front of Cady, which was the catalyst for Cady's descent into darkness.
"No problem." After nearly two months of filming, Rachel had long since mastered the role of Regina, and today's scene was a breeze for her.
However, Edward wore a troubled expression.
"What's with that look?" Irene frowned, not understanding.
"Boss, do you think I should report this to Brit? If she sees it when the movie comes out and I haven't told her beforehand, she's definitely going to lose her temper at me." Edward looked distressed.
Irene was a bit surprised, not expecting him to be agonizing over this. "You'd better tell her."
"But if I tell her now, she's definitely going to be angry right now. Does this shot really have to be filmed?"
"Rachel isn't saying anything, yet you, a grown man, are here whining. Go get ready."
Irene didn't want to listen to his nagging anymore and walked away.
The two hours of preparation time passed quickly, and all the extras were dressed and standing near the entrance.
Because this villa was much larger than the one in the movie from her past life, her initial estimate of the number of extras had been inaccurate. This morning, the floor manager had to find some students at the last minute to barely fill the villa's living room.
"Alright, let's rehearse the extras' positions first. Camera crew, position 1 ready, position 2 push in."
The camera followed Cady as she opened the door, slowly pushing in and following her gaze to look at the interior of the villa: the massive crystal chandelier, the floating spiral staircase, the multi-faceted natural stone fireplace, and the students dressed in sexy outfits standing everywhere.
As for Cady herself, despite being in a classic Halloween costume—a zombie bride with bloody fangs—she looked completely out of place here.
Her expression was hesitant yet expectant. Ignoring the strange looks from others, she continued to walk toward Aaron, who had invited her.
Regina, dressed in a bunny outfit, had long since noticed Cady's arrival. She intercepted Aaron a step ahead, constantly smearing and belittling Cady's image.
"CUT!"
Irene stood behind the monitor and shouted through the walkie-talkie, "Edward, your expression when you heard Regina say that Cady likes you was too wooden! Give me some reaction! You should have a bit of a crush on her too, which is why you took the initiative to invite her over!"
"Got it, Boss."
"Let's do it again. Everyone get into position. Extras, don't just stare at Aaron and Regina, everyone act natural."
On the second take, when Aaron heard Regina say, "You know, Cady likes you," he glanced toward Cady. This look made Irene nod; the expensive acting classes hadn't been a waste of money after all—at least he could understand the director's instructions.
The plot continued to advance. After Regina finished smearing Cady, she wanted to deliver another heavy blow. She stood on her tiptoes, wrapped her arms around Aaron's neck, and pulled him down slightly. Just as the two were about to kiss, Aaron hesitated for a second, but was then bewitched by the woman in front of him.

"CUT! Edward, that second of hesitation just now was great, but your body was too stiff! Have you never kissed before? Don't act so reluctant like a virgin!"
"Everyone take a 5-minute break, then we'll do it again."
Seeing that Edward's mood was a bit unnatural, Rachel reached out and patted his upper arm. "Relax."
Edward frowned as if facing a major life event. "Aren't you nervous? It's my first on-screen kiss. Is my breath okay?" As he spoke, he scratched his hair. "Help, I feel like my heart is about to jump out of my mouth!"
"Don't worry, take a deep breath. Just pretend the camera doesn't exist. You performed very well just now; it would be perfect if you were just a bit more natural."
Edward took two deep breaths. "Thank you, I feel better now. It's amazing how you can be so natural in your first time acting, unlike me—I've taken so many classes and it's still useless."
"Maybe it's because I have nothing but courage. Where did you take your acting classes? How are they? Are they useful?" Rachel asked curiously. If she wanted to go further in the future, she would definitely need more systematic training.
"They should be somewhat useful. After all, I've been scolded much less in this movie than in the last one. I'll send you the contact information on your phone later."
Rachel was just about to say okay when she heard the director's voice come through the megaphone, "Time's up, everyone adjust your state!"
"We'll talk after the scene."
It wasn't until Edward felt his mouth go numb from the kissing that he finally heard the voice of Irene saying "Cut." At that moment, his only thought was that he never wanted to do a kissing scene again.
After Irene checked the footage on the monitor and confirmed it was correct, the camera was placed on Cady.
"The light is too dark, I can't see Cady's expression clearly. The surroundings can be dimmed a bit more, let the light transition naturally onto Cady's face."
"No, this light is too strong. I need a sense of alternating light and shadow."
"Makeup artist, touch up the makeup on Cady's face."
Everyone was waiting for Irene to adjust everything to the optimal state she wanted.
Half an hour later, the camera began recording again.
Irene spent three days finishing all the villa scenes, including the Halloween party and the scenes where they usually chatted and hung out.
Afterward, they moved to the Toronto Convention Centre to film the Spring Fling dance plot.
At the end of the movie, Cady won the crown, broke it into pieces, and passed it to the others, calling for everyone to be the queen of their own hearts.
With that, the movie ended, and they wrapped up filming here as well.
Irene's wrap party was held at the Sutton Place Hotel in Toronto, located on the edge of Yorkville, making it very convenient for transportation.
They had booked an entire floor of the banquet hall, allowing staff from every department to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable experience today.
And those attending the banquet today were not just the staff who had worked together for many days, but also high-level executives from CAA and Fox.
"It seems our Irene has brought us another masterpiece." Ira Walker, the leader who took over CAA after Michael Ovitz left, raised his champagne and walked toward her with another middle-aged man with brown hair by his side.
Even though CAA now claimed that there was no hierarchy and that every agent held an equal position.
Everyone knew that whoever held the most superstars in their hands was the boss.
And Ira Walker, who held box-office superstars like Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts, and Will Smith, was undoubtedly the core figure of CAA.
Before this, Irene had only heard of his exploits from Shelly or others, but now she had finally met him in person.
