Finally, it's time for the VIP release. To be honest, the fact that Heroes has achieved its current results far exceeds my initial expectations. Of course, this is all thanks to the support of you, dear readers, and the recognition from the editorial team.
Honestly, getting this opportunity to go VIP makes me really happy. And before I knew it, Heroes has already reached four volumes.
Starting from the third volume, I've also tried to make some corresponding changes—I wonder if any of you noticed. The main reason, of course, is to break away from the One-Punch Man style.
Many readers have commented in the discussion section that my novel is very similar to One-Punch Man. To that, my personal response is this:
It really is quite similar—I admit that. I often play around with some of the bald guy's gags in my own novel.
But there's one thing I'd like to say to you, dear readers... I've been wronged!!!
Because the inspiration for writing this novel didn't come solely from One-Punch Man!!!
Actually, when I first decided to write this novel, what gave me inspiration and enlightenment were American comics and Superhero Fantasy. The Superhero Registration Act background is the biggest inspiration and reference I drew from Marvel Comics.
Marvel, DC, One-Punch Man, Superhero Fantasy, My Hero Academia, and Stephen Chow—all of them have had an equally huge impact on me. I admit it: it's by paying tribute to these works that I ended up writing Heroes as it is now.
In a sense, Heroes also incorporates my own understanding of superheroes.
At the same time, I'm trying little by little to break free from the feel of these works. It's hard, but I'll still try—after all, an author who doesn't want to create their own unique work isn't a good author.
Over these two-plus months of serialization, what made me happiest is that most of my readers are truly kind and harmonious. I want to thank each of you here for tolerating my typos...
Also, regarding my writing style:
"Someone like me being put on the same shelf as so many great authors for a simultaneous VIP release—I'm really sorry to everyone!!" (The author prostrates himself in a full-body bow)
But I won't give up. I admit my writing is indeed like an elementary school student's, but I believe that after the tempering of Heroes, I will definitely improve. I'll keep honing myself in this area.
Next, I need to bring up the matter of typos.
"The author prostrates himself to everyone once again"
To all of you who've stuck with it despite reading such cringe-worthy sentences—I'm truly grateful.
But now, I check every chapter I upload. If there are any more, you can leave a comment in the discussion section to tell me. As for the earlier chapters, I'll take time to correct them gradually after going VIP. I went on a trip recently, and not long after I left, I found out about the requirement to stockpile chapters for the VIP release.
After returning on the 23rd, it was three updates a day plus stockpiling. Now I feel like I've been hollowed out... I'm terribly sorry for not having the energy to fix the earlier typos. But trust me, sooner or later, I'll correct them all!!!
That's a man's promise.
Finally, I want to thank everyone for your support during this time. Without your encouragement and backing, Heroes probably wouldn't have successfully gone VIP.
I'll work hard to write this novel well, striving to make it not like those typical fast-food novels with little substance. Even if there's not much substance in my own head.
That's my VIP release statement.
In short, thank you all for your continued support, and I hope you'll keep supporting Heroes.
As a final spoiler: after going VIP, I plan to write a prequel.
If you think this book is good, and to avoid losing it next time, please remember to add it to your bookshelf.
