He grants Lin Chen treatment equivalent to a personal disciple and promises formal apprenticeship if he reaches the Return to Origin Realm within a year. 23

After observing Lin Chen's rapid progress in the Soul Forging Art and Qi Condensation Realm, Zhao regards him as a potential opportunity for the sect's rise. He formally accepts Lin Chen as his fourth Inner Disciple and grants him the Thousand-Mile Escape Shuttle. 26 34

Zhao has personally borne the cost of the struggle against hostile forces.
