According to the regulations of the human race, slaying a demon of the same rank yields fifty contribution points, while Heaven and Earth Spirit Beasts yield points as if they were one rank lower. Beyond that, a demon one rank lower only grants five points, and two ranks lower only one point. Simultaneously, to prevent high-level cultivators from slaughtering low-level ones, there is no reward for a Dao Foundation Stage cultivator killing a Qi Gathering Stage demon. Likewise, to prevent human cultivators from risking their lives to ambush demons of higher rank, the East Sea human race stipulates that low-level cultivators receive no reward for killing high-level demons.

Within the same rank, however, slaying a demon of a higher sub-rank is quite lucrative. Slaying a demon one sub-rank higher grants two hundred points, and slaying one two sub-ranks higher also grants two hundred points. For example, an early-stage Dao Foundation cultivator earns two hundred points for killing a mid-stage Dao Foundation demon, but still only two hundred for a late-stage one. This encourages cultivators to challenge stronger foes while preventing those greedy for high experience from recklessly throwing their lives away against enemies they cannot defeat.
