Tongyun City

Yan Chihuo gazed at the mountain before him and let out a soft breath. This mountain was precisely his destination: Tongyun Mountain. Tongyun City had been built upon it, and opposite the mountain stretched a span of space extending tens of thousands of miles. Countless spatial rifts filled that expanse, along with even spatial turbulence. Beyond that turbulent void lay the human lands—the Tianyang Kingdom, foremost of the Nine Heavenly Kingdoms.

This space had originally been no different from anywhere else. But after repeated wars between the Demon Race of the Myriad Demon Grassland and the humans of the Nine Heavenly Kingdoms, it had finally been shattered hundreds of thousands of years ago, becoming what it was today.

Yan Chihuo had spent so long in the Myriad Demon Grassland that, while he could not claim familiarity with this history, he knew something of it. If he wished to reach the human lands now, he could only pass through Tongyun City. The spatial turbulence was simply too dangerous; even Dao Integration Stage cultivators risked perishing within it. Only those at the Spirit Cultivation Stage or Ascension Stage could cross safely.

Tongyun City was vastly different from Hundred Spirits City, occupying far less land. However, a grand formation had been laid within the city—the Zhou Tian Star Formation, whose power was peerless.

When Yan Chihuo entered the city, he saw cultivators and demons coming and going, living together in surprising harmony.
