"Two... two wives?!" Lan Fozi looked as though she had been struck by lightning. Her pupils suddenly contracted, and even her voice went shrill.
At first, she was too shocked by that number to speak. It took her a moment to recover before she glared at Nan Fusheng in disbelief and rapidly demanded, "Wait, you already have wives, so why are you participating in this Martial Arts Marriage Tournament?"
Nan Fusheng looked as though he had heard a strange question. A perfectly measured hint of confusion appeared on his face as he countered, "Can't someone with wives participate? Does the tournament have a rule forbidding married people from entering?"
His question left Lan Fozi speechless, and she instinctively searched through the relevant rules in her mind. From registration requirements to the competition process, there really did not seem to be a single rule stating that those who already had spouses could not participate.
That did not stop her from criticizing Nan Fusheng. "Do your wives know about this?"
"They do." Nan Fusheng nodded.
"They obviously don't know... Hm?"
Lan Fozi had already prepared a whole lecture to condemn Nan Fusheng for hiding it from them and being irresponsible. Yet when she heard his answer, confusion instantly filled her face, and the reprimand at the tip of her tongue came to an abrupt halt.
Seeing her stunned expression, Nan Fusheng continued, "Not only do they know, they're quite supportive of me joining this tournament."
