Background / History

Xu Bo was a recruit from Barracks 302 on Military Floating Land No. 17. Unable to physically execute the force-output formulas he developed because of his frail constitution, he searched for a suitable living test subject. He found one in Jiang Yue, whose unusually consistent movements and breathing rhythm made him ideal for verifying Xu Bo's theories. The two formed a mutually beneficial partnership: Xu Bo provided movement corrections and analysis, while Jiang Yue served as his model and helped him endure group training. 11 13

He introduced Jiang Yue to the Grey Zone and its underground gambling culture, including the Thousand-Jin Stake contests.
