Momoshiki's chest rose and fell twice in the night wind. His gaze remained fixed on those dark gold, rice-shaped pupils, but his lips were forming a carefully compressed statement. As the words were pushed from his throat, Takamimusubinokami's layer of light rippled briefly before his palm, as if he were trying to feed some of his Chakra back into that locked structure. "You devoured Isshiki's origin. And you think that is enough." Over roughly a quarter of a breath, Momoshiki's voice shifted from mockery to threat. There was no obvious blur at the boundary of that transition, as though he had pulled out a line of reasoning used in countless prior deductions and laid it out on the table again. "You do not know what the Otsutsuki clan's power truly is. You saw Isshiki. You took his origin. You stand there using his eyes—but you have never seen the upper structure of the Otsutsuki Main Family. Isshiki did indeed hold his own position within the Main Family's hierarchy, but the upper limit of the power that origin could contain is nowhere near as high as you think. Within the Main Family, there are at least two digits' worth of beings stronger than Isshiki."
He paused, allowing the phrase "two digits" enough time to settle within the other man's hearing before continuing. His pace was slightly faster than before, as though he were advancing along a logical chain already laid out before him. "That portion of Chakra you possess now—that portion you obtained from Isshiki—you should know exactly how much it accounts for in the whole. The fact that you still stand on this planet and have never left this star system means you do not yet possess the complete conditions required for interstellar movement and travel on a greater scale.
