A New Volume Begins

For the Chunin Exams arc, I originally thought it would only run to chapter 120 or 130, 140 at most.

That way, with the Otsutsuki-related plot added in, it would have been around a hundred chapters, bringing the total to just over two hundred. One volume would have wrapped it up. I never expected it to reach over 190 chapters...

Well, curse me for dragging it out if you want. I did have some battle scenes planned, but since it had already gone past 190 chapters, I gave them up—for example, Hinata Hyuga's two fights, one against Gaara and one against Haku. Both were cut.

There were too many chapters. Even I was getting tired reading through them, so I started a new volume~

This book should be finished in about two months, which is more or less in line with what I said last month about finishing around March.

There probably won't be any side stories, because the results are pretty bad. Every month, I'm basically relying on the guaranteed income just to earn enough for food. There's no way I could keep updating side stories for a book that's doing so poorly. I'm sure you dear readers understand, so I won't go on about it.

I'm gradually getting used to the pace of working on two books at once. The new book's results are terrible too—it's been twenty days, and it doesn't even have five hundred bookmarks. But it's fine. Same as before: if it does so badly that it can't even get a premium release, then I'll drop it and start another one.
