The snowfield on the fourth level was far milder than the frozen world on the third level.

Akes and Desri flew over the snowfield for roughly two hours without encountering any danger.

"Where are Faen and the others?" Akes asked.

"We got separated," Desri replied. "The fourth level is huge—larger than the first three levels combined. Everyone is looking for the passage to the fifth level, so it's normal for us to go in different directions and get separated."

Akes nodded and did not ask further.

After flying for another hour or so, they spotted a figure ahead. The man was broad and powerfully built, with short golden hair. It was Klei. He stood alone on the ridge of a snowy mountain, seemingly waiting for someone.

"Klei." Desri landed beside him. "Why are you alone? Where are the others?"

Klei shrugged. "We got separated. I couldn't be bothered waiting for them, so I went ahead on my own. The passage to the fifth level is in the center of the fourth level anyway. We'll naturally run into each other once we get there."

Desri frowned. "It's too dangerous to act alone."

"Dangerous?" Klei laughed. "Desri, you're too cautious. The fourth level is the safest among the first five. Faen and the others only dared to retreat as far as the fifth level back then. What danger could there possibly be on the fourth?"
