"What does that look on your face mean?"
"Has that rat, Fate, already gone after your people?!"
After their fierce exchange of blows, the sky and earth tore apart and thundered. Black-and-red lightning as thick as buckets scattered in all directions, and space fractured.
The Earth God noticed that Houka had lost his earlier overwhelming fighting spirit.
Was this fellow thinking of backing down?
Or had he guessed right, and the Fate God really was preparing a "surprise" for Houka?
He had known the Fate God would never let Houka, a pawn who had slipped out of his control, get away.
If the Fate God captured Houka's family and companions, would this cunning brat submit to being slaughtered?
Or would he disregard the lives of his loved ones and attack the Fate God directly?
"If that's your only trump card, this war can already end."
Houka knew that, with the Divine Barrier protecting the Earth God, he could not kill him in one go unless his raw power far surpassed the god's.
His strength still wasn't enough. He needed to keep growing stronger.
But the Fate God of this world had been watching him like a hawk, and he didn't want to fight the Earth God to the bitter end right now.
There were still gods waiting for him to hunt in another timeline.
"You think you can kill me?!"
Hearing Houka's arrogant declaration, the Earth God thought Houka was already confident he could kill him and end the battle.
He immediately laughed in anger.
Houka's attacks were still nowhere near the limit of what he could withstand.
"Ending the war doesn't mean killing you!"
"It's not like you dare leave the Red Line anyway."
Houka gave the Earth God a carefree grin, grateful to him and the Ocean God
