Background / History

Lu Zhiyu created Maria World inside the Universe Scroll after its internal plane expanded into a vast space. He established land, sky, oceans, a sun, moon, stars, gravity, air, clouds, and wind, then named it after Maria, the Goddess of Light 15.

Its early ecosystem began with accelerated plant growth. Lu Zhiyu subsequently introduced animals and other organisms to establish a complete, self-sustaining environment capable of supporting freely living lifeforms 15 16. Beastmen were the first life to appear, while humans became a principal force behind civilization; Magic Beasts marked the beginning of extraordinary life, and dragons became the source of the divine arts system 334.

Maria World's early civilizations rose and disappeared rapidly under its accelerated time flow. By the time Lu Zhiyu revisited the Golden City after two weeks on Earth, hundreds of years had passed within Maria World; the Golden Dynasty, its palaces, and the Temple of Light had already fallen into ruins 35.

Lu Zhiyu later developed Maria World into the foundation of a divine kingdom. He created the Magic Network to connect lifeforms across the world to one-dimensional channels and the Zero-Dimension World, while retaining 60% of the Source Substance extracted through it 52. The system fostered the growth of wizardry, divine arts, and competing extraordinary traditions 234.

Appearance

Maria World is an enclosed, earthlike plane protected by a Plane Wall composed of layered spatial folds. Its celestial bodies are contained within those folds and follow predetermined orbits, producing daylight, seasons, tides, and other fundamental cycles 109.

Maria World's Plane Wall naturally formed when Lu Zhiyu created the world. Its layered spatial folds can trap anyone attempting to leave by ordinary travel, while also containing the world’s sun, moon, and stars 109.

Divine Kingdoms and Divine Seats

Divine Seats partition the rule authorities that stabilize Maria World, including domains connected to space, the sun, seasons, time, death, the ocean, and earth 248. A being who merges their soul into the Divine Kingdom can receive a portion of the world's authority, but must be at least a level-seven Mythical Wizard to occupy a Divine Seat 153.

• Divine Kingdom Gaia — The original mainframe divine kingdom, formed from Gaia and the Silver Moon; it organizes world information and controls rule authority 246 253.
• Star Divine Kingdoms — Stellar divine kingdoms governed by true gods, each capable of functioning as an aerial war fortress as well as a divine realm 253.

World Consciousness

Maria World's collective consciousness eventually manifested as Natasha. Her form and gender were shaped by the name “Maria,” as that was how the world's inhabitants imagined their world 408.

Natasha was born as a level-seven mythical lifeform and represented the will of Maria World itself. Her incorporation into the divine system was necessary for the world to become a complete kingdom of gods 408.

Civilization and Society

Maria World developed multiple intelligent races and civilizations, including humans, Beastmen, Elves, Fishmen, Goblins, dragons, and Magic Beasts 302 334 438.

Extraordinary Power

Creation and Ecological Development

Maria World began as a newly configured plane within the Universe Scroll. Lu Zhiyu established its basic physical rules, planted its first flora, and began importing organisms to create a complete ecosystem 15 16.

Establishment of the Divine Kingdom

Lu Zhiyu transformed Gaia into the prototype of a Divine Kingdom by embedding it within Maria World's moon. Gaia was intended to absorb compatible consciousnesses, replace the moon, and become the Silver Moon and Divine Kingdom of Maria World 110.

As the Divine Kingdom grew, Divine Seats were created to distribute authority over the world's rules among qualified gods 153 248.

Completion of the Divine System

The divine system steadily eliminated loopholes in Maria World's rules and imposed increasingly comprehensive restrictions over extraordinary beings 316. The final necessary component arrived when Natasha, the world's own consciousness, ascended as the Goddess of Fate 408 409.

Judgment Day and the Rhode Plane

The Death Omen Plane threatened to collide with Maria World, an event expected to devastate the main world and kill all non-divine life 382. Rhode redirected the plane at the last moment, allowing it to brush past Maria World rather than collide with it 388.

Lu Zhiyu then captured and merged the Rhode Plane into Maria World as a demiplane. Its laws, ecology, native creatures, and floating islands gradually assimilated into the larger world 388 389.

Seven Continents and Astral Expansion

Maria World later absorbed both the Rhode Plane and Thunder Plane, turning its original five continents into seven 438. With its population and number of Divine Clerics exceeding the world's capacity, Maria World launched an Astral expansion campaign to seek new territory and opportunities beyond its Plane Wall 449.
