In his early years, the Chaos City Lord's Slaughter Clone travelled through the void layers and fought the Void Master. He later declines to elaborate on the encounter when questioned by Guiyi Venerable. 79

He was the master of Kedi, once the human race's most dazzling genius. Kedi's death at the hands of alien races remains a lasting regret for him and shapes his determination not to leave another exceptional disciple unprotected. 73 90 91

During the Genius Tournament, Lin Yuan's unprecedented Trial Tower performance draws his attention. After comparing Lin Yuan's Star-level showing with Kedi's, he orders Guiyi Venerable to protect the youth and concludes that Lin Yuan's fortune and talent make him vital to humanity's future. 73 79
