Background and History

Hai Bodong was once known as the Ice Emperor, one of the Jia Ma Empire's ten great powerhouses and a Supreme Elder of the Mite'er Family. After his cultivation was sealed for decades, he lived in Shi-Mo City under the cover of operating the Ancient Map Shop, retaining only Dou Ling-level strength. He also possessed a fragment of the map to the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame. 30 32

Xiao Jie located him to obtain the map fragment and secure five years of his service. In exchange, Xiao Jie supplied a Break-Obstacle Pill to remove the seal, an Emperor-Extreme Pill, and the promise of a Purple Spirit Recovery Pill. Hai Bodong accepted immediately, recognizing both his desperation to regain his strength and Xiao Jie's exceptional alchemical ability. 30

After restoring his Dou Emperor cultivation, Hai Bodong honored the agreement and became one of Xiao Jie's closest allies.
