Cao Cao frowned as he stood up, then shouted toward the outside of the tent, "Where is Xu Chu?"
"My King, did you call for me?" Xu Chu asked, stepping inside quickly upon hearing the summons.
"After I fell asleep last night, did anyone else enter?" Cao Cao asked with a cold gaze.
Xu Chu shook his head and replied, "This subordinate stood guard outside the tent all night; no outsiders entered to disturb you."
Cao Cao rubbed his Solar System, his massive frame suddenly jolting as he asked in confusion, "I vaguely remember someone pouring me wine last night. The figure seemed similar to Zhongkang?"
Xu Chu nodded. "Last night, you were shouting in your drunken stupor, so I entered the tent to pour you wine."
"I feel like something is missing." Cao Cao had been dead drunk last night; he only remembered a person pouring wine, and his memory froze at that final moment.
The people in the hall were secretly shocked. Did that 'filthy book' truly possess such power that even Yang Xiu could escape like a cicada shedding its skin?
Xu Chu muttered, "Does the King not remember? Last night, Registrar Yang and General Zhang accompanied you in drinking. Registrar Yang could not hold his liquor and left halfway through."
Cao Cao's expression sharpened. He felt something was indeed missing—it turned out Yang Xiu had been there too. Could the letter have been stolen by him?
"Go and summon Dezu for me." Cao Cao looked at Xu Chu and ordered.
Just as Xu Chu was about to cup his hands in response, Cao Xiu suddenly stumbled into the center of the room and quickly said, "General Xu, wait. I was just about to patrol the camp; I can bring Registrar Yang back while I'm at it."
