Background / History

Chai Song became leader of the Cloud Dragon County Firewood Gang after his father, Chai Yingtong, yielded the position when Chai Song reached Eighth Grade Meridian Opening. Chai Yingtong then returned to the Chai Family in Xuanning Prefecture. 150

He is married to Hua Yurong and was initially known to have one child, Chai Ying. The later birth of his son, Chai Jin, significantly deepened his concern with securing the family’s future. 102 141 204

After Chai Ying is kidnapped, Chai Song prioritizes paying her ransom before organizing a full-scale retaliatory campaign against Golden Snake Stronghold. He leads the Firewood Gang to Zheng Yan’s lair, where Zheng Yan is killed and the stronghold is destroyed. 98 104 105

Long Xiao arrives after the battle and confiscates all captured wealth, including the ransom funds Chai Song had diverted from the Firewood Gang headquarters. This leaves Chai Song facing both financial pressure and the possibility of replacement by headquarters. 105 107
