Having fought alongside Joneus so many times, Jostar had inevitably picked up many of his habits.
Whether it was his combat techniques or the very aura he exuded during battle.
This included Joneus's calm demeanor before a fight—hands placed at his sides, walking with the steady, imposing stride of a dragon or tiger. Even without any other movement, just the act of walking, his immensely powerful physique and piercing gaze filled the air with overwhelming pressure.
He appeared to be covered in openings, but Jostar had learned the hard way countless times that it was never Joneus who ended up eating dirt.
To be honest, when that Ultra Warrior, who was infinitely more robust than himself, approached, the Kyrieloid felt a flicker of panic in his heart.
Just from a visual standpoint, it was enough to make him lose his nerve.
Anyone can talk big, claiming they could take down the entire Land of Light single-handedly; but trash talk is one thing, and actual strength is another.
If he had a choice, he would much rather trade blows with Tiga, who looked significantly leaner than the one approaching him.
He had absolutely no desire to provoke this brute, who looked like nothing but trouble.
But life rarely goes as planned, and now he had to bite the bullet and take this powerhouse down.
Wait! What is the meaning of you, Tiga, following right behind this Ultra Warrior?
Tiga hadn't thought too much about it; he was simply worried that Jostar might not be a match for this Kyrieloid.
After all, having heard the Kyrieloid's exaggerated claims, Tiga—who knew nothing of the Kyrieloid's true combat capabilities—assumed he possessed immense power, enough to take both of them down.
Now, there was no room left for choices.
With his sharp claws held before him, the Kyrieloid broke into a sprint, charging straight at the two Ultras.
It was a clear, direct assault, and Tiga immediately shifted into a defensive combat stance.
Yet, the turn of events completely defied Tiga's expectations.
Crimson flames erupted violently from the claws the Kyrieloid had thrust forward, and in the blink of an eye, the fire bridged the distance between them.
The raging inferno exploded instantly, blooming into two brilliant, destructive flowers of flame.
Even with his arms raised to block, Tiga was forced back several steps by the searing impact, the intense shock and heat leaving him momentarily dazed.
As a Flame Demon Warrior among the Kyrieloid, he held great confidence that his Hellfire Bullet possessed enough destructive power to at least cripple the combat effectiveness of both Ultras.
The fiery passion of the exploded Hellfire Bullet surged around Jostar, almost completely engulfing him.
Through the shroud of flames, his movements were still vaguely visible.
His arms, thicker than the Kyrieloid's thighs, were locked in a gripping motion. Despite the fire being intangible, it seemed to be imbued with substance, and Jostar tore through the flames with ease.
This allowed the Kyrieloid to see clearly just how much damage his pride-and-joy Hellfire Bullet had actually caused.
There were only a few faint scorch marks on those robust, crimson pectoral muscles.
Such defensive power made the eyes atop the Kyrieloid's head glow with constant intensity.
Tiga was hailed as the strongest warrior of the last thirty million years, and the Kyrieloid had assumed that even if this newly appeared giant surpassed Tiga in raw strength, he wouldn't exceed him by much in other areas.
He had expected his strength to be roughly a notch below Tiga's.
He had planned to finish off Tiga first and then slowly roast this giant to death.
Is this the enemy we concluded was slightly weaker than Tiga?
Which idiot came up with that assessment? If I die today, I'm definitely going to beat that bastard to death in the afterlife.
Death is just death; it's not like he hadn't died before. As a special individual within the Kyrieloid race, he didn't care much for dying.
But there is a difference between one death and another.
Being finished off by the guillotine mode of a Zeperion Ray and being pounded like mochi by a muscle-bound brute were two very different ways to go.
Having experienced the Kyrieloid's Hellfire Bullet and feeling the slight burning sensation on his chest, Jostar gained a rough understanding of his own defensive capabilities.
He couldn't compare to Ultraman, whose Ultra chest muscles could reflect light beams; there was still quite a gap.
A Hellfire Bullet fired without any charge-up time was enough to make him feel a sting of pain.
"Weak, too weak. Is this attack just meant to scratch an itch? Is this the Kyrieloid who wants to become the guardian deity of Earth?"
While he spat out trash talk, Jostar's movements never faltered.
His hulking physique showed no signs of clumsiness, and his heavy footsteps thundered against the ground like rolling peals of thunder.
Jostar lowered his center of gravity, the muscles in his right arm bulging and tightening. His diamond-shaped eyes seemed stained with a scarlet, blood-red hue, and the black markings twisting across his sturdy back gave him the aura of a true villain.
Am I the villain, or are you?!
"Don't get cocky, you foolish Ultraman! Now, I'll show you the power of our Kyrieloid rage!"
Provoked by the trash talk, the Kyrieloid roared. He bared his claws at Jostar, refusing to back down, and charged head-on.
Fists and claws crossed, the intense shockwaves generated by their collision buffeting them both.
Leveraging his height and reach, Jostar's crimson fist slammed heavily into the Kyrieloid's head.
The crushing force caused the bones in the Kyrieloid's skull to crack, and his massive body was sent flying backward like a ragdoll.
However, Jostar's fist remained pressed against the Kyrieloid's head, forcibly slamming him into the ground.
Even then, Jostar didn't relax for a second; he shifted his fist into a claw, his Grip of Immortality locking firmly onto the Kyrieloid's face.
He moved forward without a moment's pause, dragging the Kyrieloid along at high speed as the earth was continuously plowed and torn apart, the solid concrete shattering like fragile tofu.
The Kyrieloid struggled incessantly, raking its claws across Jostar's chest, yet those claws—harder than any known material on Earth—could only spark against him.
Only when the Kyrieloid had completely ceased all response did Jostar finally stop his assault.
Turning around, he was met with a scene of utter devastation.
While the buildings themselves had suffered little damage, the roads and underground infrastructure would likely need to be rebuilt from scratch.
"Finish him off, Tiga."
Though he did not understand why this burly man would not do it himself, Tiga complied, drawing his hands apart.
The Zeperion Ray struck the Kyrieloid without the slightest difficulty.
"Truly powerful, Super Mountain Power Tyrant." Munakata's exclamation caused Jostar, who was preparing to take flight, to freeze.
"My name is Jostar, and I do not wish to hear that name again." Sending a telepathic message toward Munakata, Jostar leaped into the air and vanished into the sky in an instant.
