Personality

Shui Furong is cautious and protective when her students are endangered. On finding Shui Bing'er and the other academy girls near an unexplained ice dome, she first ensured everyone was unharmed, then refused to rashly break the dome because its creator might be stronger than herself. 26

As an academy dean, she is pragmatic and exceptionally flexible. Rather than reject Su Hui for being male and possessing a non-water, non-ice first soul skill, she prioritized his potential and personally recruited him as a once-in-a-millennium talent. 29

Far North Rescue and Investigation

Shui Furong arrives in the Far North after Shui Bing'er and six other girls become trapped near an ice dome containing a ten-thousand-year Ice Jade Scorpion. She secures the students, assesses the unknown threat cautiously, and prepares to fight when the dome breaks apart. 26 27

Upon discovering Su Hui beside the dead scorpion with three extraordinary soul rings, she proposes that his rings resulted from voluntary soul beast sacrifices. Her explanation persuades the group and provides Su Hui with a credible cover for his actual circumstances. 27 28

Recruitment of Su Hui

Impressed by Su Hui's level-36 cultivation and purple-black-black ring configuration at only eleven years old, Shui Furong disregards Skywater Academy's usual women-only, water-and-ice-attribute admission rules and invites him to enroll. 29

She considers his talent, Martial Soul, and knowledge of soul beasts too valuable to let leave the academy. 31

Skywater Team Assessment
