"Drip! Drip!"
After another collision, Moke spat out a mouthful of blood.
He was in an utterly miserable state. More than half of his golden scales had shattered, and blood flowed between them, nearly dyeing the golden armor crimson.
But the Blood-Eyed Mane Lion across from him was not faring much better. Its body was covered in dense, torn sword wounds, the worst of them on its neck. Moke's strike had nearly severed the artery in its neck.
The price, however, was that the Blood-Eyed Mane Lion had torn apart the scales on Moke's back, leaving a claw mark so deep that bone was visible.
Man and beast stared at each other.
"Boss, Boss, how are you?" Fu Gui, whom Moke had flung far away earlier, anxiously communicated with him through their souls.
"I'm fine. I won't die yet," Moke reassured him.
A Holy Dragon Warrior's defense surpassed even that of a God-Eater Rat. It would be difficult for this Blood-Eyed Mane Lion to kill him, but Moke could not kill it either.
Moke was drenched in blood, with large patches of his scales shattered.
He stared fixedly at the Blood-Eyed Mane Lion in the distance.
But just as Moke thought the Blood-Eyed Mane Lion was about to continue attacking, it suddenly dropped its fighting stance.
"Boy from the Dragonblood Warrior Family, you are only Ninth Level, yet you fought me, Prust, to this extent. You have earned my respect!"
Prust, the Saint Realm magical beast, spoke in a voice that rumbled like thunder.
"Hmm?"
Moke frowned. "Prust, you're strong. I'm no match for you."
"But it won't be easy for you to kill me either. You know how strong the scales of a Dragonblood Warrior are."
After their fierce battle, Moke had also realized that Prust was merely an ordinary Saint Realm Peak magical beast. He had not comprehended any laws, relying entirely on a Saint Realm magical beast's strength and speed in battle. It would be extremely difficult for such an opponent to kill him.
Moreover, Moke was immune to magic attacks, which had already cut away nearly forty percent of a Saint Realm magical beast's combat power.
"If we fought to the death, you would most likely not survive. But I chose to stop fighting!" Prust said in a deep voice. "Boy from the Dragonblood Warrior Family, I, Prust, have a request."
"Hmm?"
Moke was surprised that Prust would say such a thing. "What request? Tell me first."
Q
Prust was a Saint Realm Peak magical beast, unquestionably stronger than Moke was now. What could he possibly need Moke's help with?
Prust said directly, "My child was abducted by a powerful human and forced into a master-servant contract. That human is in the Holy Capital of the Radiant Church.
"The Holy Capital has a massive magic formation and more than one Saint Realm expert. I cannot force my way in. I want you to help me kill that expert and return my child's freedom to him."
Prust said sorrowfully, "If you can do it, I can sign a master-servant contract with you and protect you until you safely reach the Saint Realm."
"You're a Saint Realm magical beast. If that expert could snatch your child from you, was he also in the Saint Realm? Probably even at the Saint Realm Peak?"
Moke frowned. "I can't kill a Saint Realm Peak expert right now."
It would already be good enough if he could preserve his life before a Saint Realm Peak expert. Some Saint Realm Peak experts with ultimate moves might very well be able to kill Moke.
"No, he is only a Ninth-Level Warrior!" Prust said furiously. "I also have enemies in the Magical Beast Forest. My child was stolen by that thief while I was fighting one of those enemies."
"That thief must die, and that enemy of mine must die as well!"
"A Ninth-Level Warrior..." Moke inwardly relaxed a little.
Killing a Ninth-Level Warrior would be easy for him.
"Who is that Ninth-Level Warrior?" Moke asked bluntly.
Prust said, "I don't know who he is, but I know he is an Ascetic of the Radiant Church. I have his soul aura here."
"An Ascetic of the Radiant Church?" A cold gleam flashed through Moke's eyes.
"Prust, I accept your request."
Prust's eyes were sharp as well. Catching the sudden chill in Moke's gaze, he said in delight, "You have a grudge against the Radiant Church?"
"That's none of your concern. Prust, wait for me to sign a master-servant contract with you."
"I, Prust, swear upon my soul that if you can bring back my child, I will definitely sign a master-servant contract with you," Prust said solemnly.
"Good!"
Moke nodded and turned to leave. When Dylin led the magical beasts in an attack on Fenlai City, there seemed to be a Saint Realm Blood-Eyed Mane Lion among them. Could it be this one? If so, perhaps he can retrieve his child himself.
But Prust clearly did not know that Dylin would launch a beast tide several years later. He could only place his hopes on Moke.
Holding Fu Gui, Moke left the Magical Beast Forest without hesitation. "The Radiant Church's Ninth-Level Ascetic should be in the eastern district of Fenlai City."
"But he definitely won't be easy to approach." He pondered how he could kill the man.
A Saint Realm Peak magical beast was still somewhat enticing to Moke at this point.
And people from the Radiant Church had to be killed sooner or later anyway.
"Boss, you're badly hurt..." Fu Gui lay in Moke's arms like a kitten, raising his head to lick the bloodstains from Moke's body with his little tongue.
Fu Gui felt somewhat guilty. Moke had been targeted by a Saint Realm magical beast because he had been hunting Magic Crystal Cores for him. The little White Tiger did not feel good about it.
"It's fine. I recover quickly. By the time we return to Ernst Institute, I should be mostly healed." As Moke spoke, he silently chanted a magic spell, and a shower of hazy white light fell over him.
Seventh Level healing magic was quite effective. Aside from the wound on his back, the other superficial injuries would heal quickly.
"This doesn't seem like a Dragonblood Warrior. Even Dragonblood Warriors of the same level don't have this kind of defense, and his scales can even negate magic. That's rather unusual."
In the Magical Beast Forest, the place where Moke and Prust had fought had been ravaged into an open clearing. At that moment, a black-robed old man stood on the tip of a broken tree, deep in thought.
"Could he really have mutated? By all reason, Bebe should never have been able to become a God-Eater Rat, yet Bebe did! Has this boy become a mutated Dragonblood Warrior as well? Interesting, truly interesting! The supreme rules truly are incomparably peculiar!"
"And he is very gifted in spiritual power too. At such a young age, he is already a Seventh Level mage, with exceptional affinity for every element. He has even begun to show signs of comprehending laws. If he becomes a god in the future, how many divine avatars will he have?"
The black-robed old man was lost in thought, while Prust, who had shrunk himself to the smallest possible size, lay respectfully on the ground nearby, not daring to disturb him in the slightest.
Heavens, Prust had never imagined that the ruler of the Dark Forest would seek him out!
"Prust."
Beirut raised his head and looked at the Saint Realm magical beast lying on the ground like a kitten. "Moke should be able to help you retrieve your child."
"Thank you, my lord!"
Prust kept his head pressed to the ground, not daring to raise it to look at Beirut.
"Once your child has been found, sign a master-servant contract with him."
Beirut said indifferently, "But do not reveal any information about me."
"Yes!"
Prust nodded respectfully.
Then a breeze swept past. When Prust tremblingly raised his head, he discovered that the ruler of the Dark Forest had already vanished.
"To receive the attention of that great lord, that boy from the Dragonblood Warrior Family must be extraordinary!"

Prust was overjoyed. "My child will definitely be found."
"And signing a master-servant contract may not be a bad thing for me either."
