Background / History

During the Warring States period, the Uchiha were locked in a prolonged conflict with the Senju Clan. Their high command treated battlefield casualties, dissidents, and low-ranking members as expendable resources, forcing many into the Spring of Returning Light array to extract ocular power and life force for Mangekyō users 16 17.

Yue Uchiha infiltrated the clan by posing as the sole survivor of a Senju attack and was assigned alongside Uchiha Hikari as the “Twin Demons.” The elders considered both youths disposable weapons against the Senju, while Yue concealed his actual objective: curing the blindness caused by his Mangekyō and acquiring the clan’s Yin Release knowledge 15 16 24.

The clan’s internal abuses culminated when Izumi Uchiha used Izanami against the corrupt elders during a clan assembly. Yue and Hikari supported her through their disguise as “Aizen,” turning the assembled elites against one another through Yin Release genjutsu.
