Background / History
Oscar leaves the academy and works as a mercenary in the Frozen Forest, seeking combat experience and strength so that he can be worthy of Ning Rongrong despite being a Food-type Spirit Master. While supporting a group hunting an Ice Plains Wolf King, he supplies injured teammates with Restoration Big Sausages. 98
Dugu Bo captures him after identifying him as a potentially dangerous talent due to his Mirror Image Sausage. The mercenaries accompanying Oscar are killed, while Oscar is taken to the Far North for experimentation. 98 99
In an ice cave, Dugu Bo forcibly fuses the Ice Plains Wolf King's left leg bone into Oscar. Dugu Yan then injects Calamity Poison fire into the origin of his Martial Soul, transforming it into a poison-producing furnace and enslaving his soul to her will. 99 100
As Dugu Yan's Poison Slave, Oscar produces Poison Sausages and Fatal Sausages that replenish her poison and soul power rather than providing ordinary restorative effects. The corruption leaves him physically altered, mentally unstable, and fanatically obedient to Dugu Yan. 100 101 106
After finding Dugu Yan in Heaven Dou City, Oscar is used as leverage against the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. He brings Ning Rongrong to Dugu Yan under threat of the Empress acting personally, despite his continued love for her and awareness that he is being used. 125 129
Oscar later delivers Dugu Yan's warning to Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo while carrying a protective strand of her soul power. 130 131 During the assault on Martial Soul City, he tortures the defeated Bibi Dong with a corrupted sausage. 137
Before ascending to the God Realm, Dugu Yan purifies the toxins within Oscar using a strand of the Poison God's origin. He is released from slavery and entrusted with Ning Rongrong's care. 153
Appearance
Oscar initially appears as a weathered mercenary in gray leather armor. After his enslavement, Calamity Poison visibly corrupts his body and demeanor. 98 100
- Gray leather armor, facial stubble, and a conspicuous facial scar during his mercenary period. 98
- Familiar peach-blossom eyes before his corruption. 98
- Cyan-gray skin and writhing, venom-like veins after poison infusion. 100
- Clouded gray eyes, a pale complexion, sunken eye sockets, and blackened fingers as a Poison Slave. 125
- Poison scars and a ghastly appearance persist until his purification. 129 152
Personality
Before his capture, Oscar is determined and willing to endure hardship for Ning Rongrong. He leaves the academy to seek strength and supports his mercenary companions during their fight with the Ice Plains Wolf King. 98
Calamity Poison enslavement twists this devotion into fear-driven, fanatical loyalty toward Dugu Yan. He obeys her orders even when they force him to confront Ning Rongrong, threaten her sect, or face two Title Douluo. 106 126 130
Despite his madness, Oscar retains genuine concern for Ning Rongrong. He asks Dugu Yan to let Ning Rongrong return home if she wishes and continues to describe his desire to protect her as something that never changed. 129 131

- Can replicate the target's Martial Soul and soul skills. 98
Poison Refining Furnace / Poison Sausages
Dugu Yan's Calamity Poison fire converts Oscar's Martial Soul into a living Poison Refining Furnace. 100

- His poison is lethal enough that physical contact can melt a Soul Saint into pus, according to Dugu Yan. 100
- Poison Sausages act as potent supplements for Dugu Yan's Calamity Poison Body, restoring consumed poison and soul power. 100 106
- Ordinary Spirit Masters cannot safely use his corrupted sausages. 106
Fatal Sausage
A pitch-black poison sausage produced after Oscar's corruption.
