History

The Uchiha were one of the dominant shinobi lineages of the Warring States era, rivaled principally by the Senju. They later helped found Konohagakure with the Senju, but their powerful bloodline, intense clan identity, and military influence made them a persistent source of fear within the village 31 189 496.

Within Konoha, the clan served through the Military Police Force and retained considerable strength, including many jōnin-level members. Suspicion deepened after the Nine-Tails incident, when Konoha authorities treated contact between Uchiha children and Naruto Uzumaki as a political threat and maintained surveillance over the clan 8 29 36.

The clan's conflict with Konoha escalated as Root operatives targeted Arata and the village increasingly distrusted the Uchiha.
