Background / History

While fleeing Martial Soul Hall's pursuit, Tang Hao passed through Stone Mirror Village near Nuoding City. His materialized killing intent corroded Ye Shuang'er's body; she died shortly after giving birth to Ling Yun, while Ling Feng later died from grief and illness. Tang Hao was therefore the direct cause of both of Ling Yun's parents' deaths. 158

Tang Hao became famous for his combat record shortly after becoming a Titled Douluo, when he fought Qian Xunji and two other Titled Douluos despite all three possessing higher soul power. The aftermath included one enemy's death, another's injury, and Qian Xunji's eventual death from his wounds. 22

After Martial Soul Hall forced the Clear Sky Sect into seclusion, the sect publicly declared that Tang Hao had severed ties with it. Despite this, Tang Hao continued to regard the sect as his foremost priority and reacted violently when the Falling Cloud Sect demanded compensation for his actions. 111 123

His loyalty is deeply selective. He considers the Clear Sky Sect his highest priority, followed by Ah Yin and then Tang San; nevertheless, Tang San is also his greatest tactical weakness. Tang Hao was willing to concede compensation to Ling Yun only because Tang San's safety was at stake. 111 117

Tang Hao robbed the Suotuo City Falling Cloud Branch Hall of medicinal pills and defeated Ye Wushuang without using his martial soul. Ling Yun identified him through Bagua vision, while Yang Wudi recognized his Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer technique. 109

Ling Yun distributed footage of the raid across the continent and demanded 1.3 million Gold Soul Coins from the Clear Sky Sect. The campaign damaged Tang Hao's reputation by portraying the Clear Sky Douluo as a bully and bandit. 110

Ambush and Recovery

Dugu Bo and Yang Wudi ambushed Tang Hao while he shadowed Tang San and Xiao Wu. Tang Hao detonated six soul rings to break free and escape with them, but the battle aggravated his old injuries and left him poisoned. 111 112

During their second confrontation, Tang Hao broke through to level 96 and used Ring Detonation to gain attack power comparable to a rank 99 Peerless Douluo. Dugu Bo could not safely kill Tang San, while Tang Hao could not freely detonate his hundred-thousand-year ninth ring without endangering his son; the fight ended without a decisive victor. 116 117

Death at the Lost Great Canyon

After Ling Yun located Tang Hao through the Heavenly Secret Divination, Di Tian transported Ling Yun and Dugu Bo to the Lost Great Canyon. Tang Hao initially agreed to compensate the Falling Cloud Sect, but Ling Yun revealed his identity and accused him of causing Ling Feng and Ye Shuang'er's deaths. 117 118
