Perhaps he had seen it wrong.
Yuhi Shinku did not dwell on it, instead patting his daughter's small head.
Yuhi Kurenai's performance was the only one that resembled a beginner's.
Thinking this, he cast his gaze toward Yuki Yuichi.
He then saw the boy standing there in a daze, lost in his own thoughts.
"Not bad, but don't get arrogant; this is just within the normal range," Yuhi Shinku coughed lightly and said with shameless bravado.
"When I first learned ninjutsu, I mastered it in the same amount of time as you."
Upon hearing this, Yuki Yuichi looked at him with a face full of disdain.
"Uncle Shinku, I'm not a four or five-year-old child anymore!"
"You can't fool me!"
He was already six years old this year!
Yuhi Shinku: "..."
He had forgotten that this kid knew far too much.
The next day.
Yuki Yuichi lay listlessly on his desk, while Yuhi Kurenai sat beside him, reading a book on assassination techniques with great interest.
"Kurenai, why are you reading that?" Yuki Yuichi asked lazily while slumped over the desk.
"Eh?"
Yuhi Kurenai turned her head to look at him in confusion, her face full of bewilderment. "Isn't this what ninjas are supposed to learn?"
As she spoke, she held the book out in front of Yuki Yuichi and pointed to a theory within it. "Look at this."
"A ninja's mission requires concealment and secrecy, completing the objective through infiltration and various other means."
"This includes, but is not limited to, poisoning, sneak attacks, stealth, disguise, and so on."
"You can learn so many things from this book."
Hearing this, Yuki Yuichi looked at where Yuhi Kurenai was pointing. The passage was indeed there, but he shook his head.
He had his own understanding.
The powerhouses of the ninja world were heaven-defying existences.
Some could destroy an entire nation single-handedly; did such beings really need to rely on poison or sneak attacks?
Yuki Yuichi never considered himself inferior to them, especially with his own cheat.
He immediately spoke with righteous confidence: "Why go through so much trouble?"
"If no one sees you executing the mission, isn't that the perfect infiltration?"
Hearing this, Yuhi Kurenai's eyes filled with doubt, and she asked curiously, "But how do you make it so no one sees you executing the mission?"
"It's simple: just kill them."
"If you kill everyone protecting the target, then there's no one left to see you execute the mission, right?"
Yuki Yuichi's words were filled with heavy murderous intent, but in this ninja world, people would only think his proposed method was problematic, not that there was anything wrong with him.
Just then, Kakashi Hatake walked up to him and, having overheard this, immediately let out a cold sneer.
"That's the way of a brute, not a ninja!"
"Copy Ninja, don't be so serious." Seeing that Kakashi Hatake had arrived in the classroom, Yuki Yuichi grinned and draped his arm over his shoulder.
Glancing at the hand on his shoulder from the corner of his eye, Kakashi Hatake twisted his shoulder and shook the hand off.
"I don't want to deal with you."
Only he knew how miserably he had been lectured by Umino Ikkaku yesterday.
He truly hadn't expected Yuki Yuichi to dig such a hole for him.
What happened to the Hokage wanting to see him?
Kakashi Hatake's attitude did not bother Yuki Yuichi in the slightest.
He was just a kid; it was normal to have some resentment after being tricked.
"Copy Ninja, I did this for your own good!" Yuki Yuichi put on a pained, heartbroken expression.
Hearing this, Kakashi Hatake frowned. Was his vigilance low?
Joking aside, as the son of the White Fang of the Leaf, he, Kakashi Hatake, had extremely high vigilance!
Seeing his expression, Yuki Yuichi continued with the same pained look: "Your vigilance is too lax. I was able to trick you into walking into a death trap in front of the teacher."
"If you become a ninja like this, you'll definitely be sold off and still be counting the money for them!"
As he spoke, Yuki Yuichi took the book on ninja assassination techniques from the bewildered Yuhi Kurenai and pointed to the passage she had just shown him.
"Copy Ninja, did you see that?"
Kakashi Hatake was left a bit bewildered by his rapid-fire string of words. He looked at the paragraph above, hesitated for a moment, and then nodded.
Seeing this, Yuki Yuichi felt a weight lift from his heart, but his expression remained unchanged as he continued, "Look, what is written there: a ninja's mission must be completed by any means necessary."
"Who's to say that in the future, someone won't exploit this mindset of yours, sell you out, and have you thanking them for it?"
"If you fall into a pit during normal times, you just get a scolding, but later on, it will cost you your life! Tell me, am I not doing this for your own good?"
Kakashi Hatake nodded subconsciously, but then he realized what was happening and glared at Yuki Yuichi with a face full of indignation.
"So you're the one digging a pit for me and expecting me to thank you for it?!"
He had been momentarily disoriented by Yuki Yuichi's words, but he was Kakashi, after all; he recovered quickly.
Seeing that he had caught on, Yuki Yuichi gave a light cough. "That was a coincidence, but tell me, does what I said make sense or not?"
This question left Kakashi Hatake silent.
Although he didn't want to admit it, what Yuki Yuichi said was indeed very logical.
However, his pride wouldn't allow him to back down, so he immediately let out a cold snort. "I'll let it slide this time."
"If there is a next time, I will definitely teach you a lesson!"
Hearing this, Yuki Yuichi's expression turned strange. You can't beat me, little brother.
Seeing Kakashi Hatake sit down, Yuki Yuichi flashed a peace sign at Yuhi Kurenai.
Yuhi Kurenai responded with a sweet smile.
Having spent so much time together, even though her personality remained gentle, she could accurately guess Yuki Yuichi's thoughts and intentions.
Class hadn't started yet, so Yuki Yuichi sat back down and poked Kakashi Hatake in the back.
He could feel his spine through his clothes, thinking to himself that this must be the backbone.
"What?" Kakashi Hatake turned around impatiently.
"Kakashi, can't you really show me your true face?"
"Get lost."
Kakashi Hatake turned straight back around, remaining unmoved no matter how much Yuki Yuichi poked his back.
"Kakashi, if you don't turn around, I'm going to poke your spine!"
As he spoke, Yuki Yuichi poked him directly on the spine.
Kakashi Hatake turned around immediately. "I am not going to show you!"
"No," Yuki Yuichi shook his head this time. "I just wanted to ask if you want to go to the training ground to practice later."
Hearing this, Kakashi Hatake looked hesitant. He wanted to skip class too, but he had just been lectured by the teacher yesterday.
Seeing him waver, Yuki Yuichi slumped weakly over his desk again. "We already know all this stuff. Sitting here in class is just a waste of time; we might as well go train."
This time, Kakashi Hatake nodded in firm agreement.
"But, won't the teacher be angry?" Yuhi Kurenai spoke up weakly from the side.
"You two skipped class just yesterday; if you skip again today..."
