Is there anything more hellish than Minato coming home?
The answer is obvious: there is not.
At the village gate, Minato flashed a smile at the two teammates beside him.
"I'll be heading back first, then. I'll leave the mission report to you two."
His teammates were two ordinary Chunin. Minato Namikaze was the captain of this squad, yet he never issued orders, preferring to consult with the two of them instead.
"Captain, just go on ahead. Handing in the mission is something Asami and I can handle just fine!" one of the Chunin, who had a scar on his face, patted his chest.
"Then I am truly grateful." Minato pressed his palms together in thanks, and his figure vanished in an instant.
"The captain is truly powerful." The Chunin named Asami couldn't help but sigh, "We only managed to complete this mission thanks to him, wouldn't you agree, Shinno?"
"Indeed. It's strange—he's so powerful, yet excessively humble." Shinno sighed as well.
The two of them walked toward the Hokage Building while chatting.
In the end, they both concluded that having Minato Namikaze as their captain was their good fortune.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
"Kushina! I'm home!" Minato teleported directly to the front door and knocked forcefully.
Uzumaki Kushina was in the middle of cooking; hearing the sound, she dropped her spatula, rushed out of the kitchen, threw open the door, and dove straight into Minato's arms.
"Minato! You're finally back!"
"The mission wasn't difficult this time, so I finished it early." Minato smiled, his expression bright and infectious.
"This time, we can finally get some good rest—"
Before Minato could finish his sentence, a burnt smell wafted from the kitchen. Kushina's expression changed drastically, and she bolted toward the kitchen, "Oh no! My food!"
Watching Kushina's hurried back, Minato wore a gentle smile, As expected, that's just like her.
With that, he walked toward the kitchen as well, and the two spent quite a while working together to get the meal ready.
Sitting at the table, Kushina asked while eating, "Now that you're back, you shouldn't have anything else to do, right?"
Although Kushina was asking, her tone was certain.
Minato looked at her with a beaming smile, "I shouldn't have anything else."
Upon hearing this, Kushina instantly became high-spirited and waved her hand grandly, "Then we'll go talk to the Third Hokage about little Yuichi later!"
"He is the last remaining seedling of the Uzumaki Clan!"
"We must guide him properly!"
"Mm-hmm." Kushina kept talking, while Minato sat beside her, nodding in agreement the entire time.
Minato was the standard template for an ideal boyfriend.
Powerful, gentle, helpful, handsome, and he doted on his wife.
The key point was that he doted on his wife.
Meanwhile, on the other side.
Yuki Yuichi had no idea that he was being treated as the "last seedling" by Uzumaki Kushina.
This was the last seedling of the Uzumaki Clan!
His political status in Konoha was quite high.
Although the Uzumaki Clan had been wiped out, they had left behind quite a few hidden assets.
If nothing else, the entire street belonging to Uzumaki Kushina was an asset of the Uzumaki Clan.
Yuki Yuichi fell from the tree once again, and Kakashi Hatake walked over, holding a wooden sword in his arms.
"It's about time. We should go eat."
Hearing this, Yuki Yuichi glanced at the sun and estimated the time in his head; it was around twelve o'clock.
Classes at the Ninja Academy started at one in the afternoon. If they went to have lunch now and then went back to take a shower, it would be just about time for class.
"Let's go, then." Yuki Yuichi said, looking back at the scratch marks he had carved into the tree trunk.
He was already able to reach halfway up the trunk.
Having a massive amount of chakra was a benefit, but it was also a drawback.
The benefit was a long blue bar, meaning he didn't have to worry about running out of energy; the drawback was that it wasn't easy to control precisely.
Therefore, even with the twenty percent training bonus for a Ninja Student, he was only slightly better at tree-climbing practice than the average person.
However, he had already grasped a few things.
He should be able to master tree climbing within the next two days.
Uchiha Obito was still climbing his tree at this moment.
Yuhi Kurenai had gone to a nearby stream to practice water walking, so it was Uchiha Obito's turn to use the mat. Because he had just been beaten up by Yuki Yuichi, he had moved his mat a fair distance away.
Consequently, he hadn't heard the conversation between Kakashi Hatake and Yuki Yuichi and continued to climb the tree with tireless diligence.
However, he relied solely on brute force, crudely coating his feet in chakra, causing the large tree to tremble with every step he took.
Conversely, because of this crude method, he could only manage two steps on the tree trunk.
Watching his performance, Kakashi Hatake's mouth twitched; one had to know that even an ordinary person without chakra could manage more than two steps after practicing for a while.
"Time to eat!"
Yuki Yuichi's voice was loud, and it wasn't just to notify Uchiha Obito; Might Guy, on the other side of the training ground, stood up and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"Phew~ This is youth!"
Uchiha Obito also stopped climbing the tree; his crude method had consumed a great deal of chakra, and he was now panting, lying on the crash mat as he wiped away his sweat.
"So tired."
Looking at the crater he had stomped into the ground, Uchiha Obito beamed with a sense of accomplishment.
"What are you looking at?" Yuki Yuichi leaned in, squatting beside him to look at the crater as well, unable to help but remark, "You really are hardworking."
"That's right, I am a genius of hard work!"
Uchiha Obito spoke without hesitation, "A genius like me, working this hard—just wait until I awaken my Sharingan, and I'll be able to beat the crap out of you... and the Kakashi behind you!"
He had originally intended to say he would beat the crap out of Yuki Yuichi, but he remembered that this guy also possessed a Sharingan and had a stronger physique than his own.
He felt that even if he awakened his Sharingan, he still wouldn't be able to beat this guy, so he immediately changed his target to Kakashi Hatake.
Hearing his words, Kakashi Hatake raised an eyebrow and mocked, "Idiot."
"You bastard, Kakashi!" Upon hearing this, Uchiha Obito immediately jumped up from the crash mat.
"Just you wait, I'll have you pinned to the ground and beaten in no time!"
"Heh." Kakashi Hatake only offered two mocking chuckles, his dead-fish eyes not even glancing at Uchiha Obito.
Just as the two were bickering, Yuhi Kurenai walked out, soaked from head to toe.
She left a trail of water on the ground with every step she took.
Seeing this, Yuki Yuichi walked over; he had forgotten that beginners would inevitably fall into the water while practicing water walking.
However, it wasn't a big issue, and he wasn't overly worried.
Kurenai was no hothouse flower; she was destined to become a ninja in the future.
Still, the necessary concern was not lacking.
Seeing Yuki Yuichi walk toward her, Yuhi Kurenai flashed a smile.
"Yuichi, this water walking is so difficult."
"But, I feel like I'll be able to master it soon!"
Yuhi Kurenai smiled again; she had originally thought water walking would be very difficult, but she hadn't expected it to use the same techniques as tree climbing.
It just required a bit more precision.
But for her, it was still quite simple.
