Hearing Umino Ikkaku's words, Uchiha Obito breathed a sigh of relief, patted his chest, and said confidently, "Of course, no problem!"
"This lesson is about the little tricks of ninja assassination!"
As Uchiha Obito spoke, he brandished the book Ten Thousand Techniques of Ninja Assassination in his hand, lifted his chin, and curled his lips into a smirk, "Teacher, I'm right, aren't I?"
Umino Ikkaku took a deep breath and silently closed his eyes.
"Can any student tell him the name of this lesson?"
As soon as Umino Ikkaku finished speaking, Yuhi Kurenai raised her small hand; Yuki Yuichi glanced at her, then at Uchiha Obito.
It should be fine.
The future convict was still just a silly boy at this stage; he shouldn't be the type to hold a grudge.
Seeing Yuhi Kurenai raise her hand, Umino Ikkaku revealed a look of relief.
From the very beginning, this girl named Yuhi Kurenai had been listening attentively, even though there was a troublemaker sitting right next to her spacing out.
"Alright, then please, student Yuhi Kurenai, tell him what the name of this lesson is," Umino Ikkaku said decisively.
"This lesson is called Chakra Refinement Technique," Yuhi Kurenai said, looking at Uchiha Obito, who was wearing goggles and blushing with shame upon hearing her words.
"Sit down."
Seeing Uchiha Obito's state, Umino Ikkaku sighed and continued, "Although many students have learned the Chakra Refinement Technique in advance, you cannot be careless, or you will be surpassed by others."
"Let us continue."
After Umino Ikkaku finished speaking, he resumed his lecture.
He kept going back and forth on the Chakra Refinement Technique; Yuki Yuichi listened for a few moments and felt a deep sense of admiration for his teaching ability.
He was able to repeatedly analyze and explain the material without repeating himself, despite it only covering three or four pages of text.
Although it was useless to him, for the commoners, every word of his explanation was a key point.
The Chakra Refinement Technique involved extracting energy from cells and the spirit; one careless mistake could lead to self-injury. Detailed and meticulous explanations like Umino Ikkaku's could minimize these dangers to the greatest extent.
"Yuichi, that Uchiha doesn't seem very bright," Yuhi Kurenai poked his hand and whispered, glancing timidly at Umino Ikkaku.
Upon hearing this, Yuki Yuichi looked at Uchiha Obito, who was still hanging his head with a flushed face, and said, "He is indeed different from the few Uchihas I've beaten up."
"He looks kind of silly."
"Right?" Yuhi Kurenai said triumphantly, like a little peacock receiving validation, "My observation skills are very sharp!"
"Eh?"
After Yuhi Kurenai finished speaking, she suddenly realized something, put her index finger in her mouth, and tilted her head to look at him, "You've beaten up people from the Uchiha Clan?"
"How come I didn't know that?"
Hearing Yuhi Kurenai's puzzled question, Yuki Yuichi immediately put his hands on his hips and said proudly, "I've beaten up plenty of people!"
"The Hyuga Clan, the Inuzuka Clan, the Aburame Clan, the Uchiha Clan, the Gekko Clan."
"I've beaten them all!"
Yuki Yuichi made no effort to hide the people he had fought.
Over the years, he had spent his free time wandering around, and to trigger achievement rewards, he had essentially beaten up at least one peer from every major family in Konoha.
Besides the children of the ninja clans, he had also beaten up many obnoxious brats from commoner families.
"Eh?" Yuhi Kurenai was left completely bewildered by his words.
Time passed during their conversation, and Umino Ikkaku's first lesson lasted until it was time for lunch.
Just as he was about to announce the end of class, a teacher walked in with a boy wearing a green spandex suit.
As soon as he entered the classroom, he smiled at Umino Ikkaku and said, "Teacher Umino, this is a specially admitted student; Lord Hokage asked me to bring him over."
"A specially admitted student?"
"Yes, he passed the special talent examination," the teacher who brought him in said, "The person is here, so I will be going now."
"Alright, you go ahead and get back to your work."
After he left, Umino Ikkaku looked at Might Guy, smiled, and said, "Go ahead and introduce yourself."
"Right!" Might Guy flashed a brilliant, pearly-white smile at him while giving a thumbs-up.
Uh...
Umino Ikkaku looked at Might Guy, his mouth twitching; it seemed another abnormal student had arrived.
"My name is Might Guy, I specialize in taijutsu, and I will definitely become an excellent ninja in the future!"
After Might Guy finished speaking, he gave everyone a thumbs-up.
Kakashi Hatake looked at the hand he had extended, his brows furrowing involuntarily.
He saw scars on Might Guy's hands.
Just as his father had said.
But he did not believe that Might Guy would ever become his rival.
Rather than believing this guy could become his rival, it would be better to...
Kakashi Hatake thought to himself, turning his head to look at a certain redhead in the back row by the window who was secretly whispering and gesturing with Kurenai Yuhi.
He had sparred with this redhead before; in terms of pure physique, Yuki Yuichi was even stronger than he was.
One had to know that he, Kakashi Hatake, had been training since he was a child; someone like Yuki Yuichi, who could suppress him through sheer physical prowess, was the one who truly deserved his attention.
Seeming to sense someone watching him, Yuki Yuichi looked up and spotted Kakashi Hatake, their gazes meeting and colliding in mid-air.
The two stared at each other for a few seconds before Yuki Yuichi flashed him a smile and even gave a little wave.
Just then, Umino Ikkaku finished a brief exchange with Might Guy and announced that class was over.
The Ninja Academy's schedule ran from eight in the morning to noon, and from one in the afternoon to five.
According to Uncle Shinku, the Academy's curriculum consisted of theory in the morning and practical training in the afternoon.
However, the first year was purely theoretical, focusing primarily on teaching students how to refine chakra and how to read and write.
That was right; the majority of civilian students were illiterate.
As Umino Ikkaku walked out of the classroom, Kakashi Hatake headed straight toward Yuki Yuichi.
"Fifty-Fifty, is something the matter?" Yuki Yuichi asked curiously upon seeing Kakashi Hatake approach.
If he remembered correctly, the boy had been somewhat cold toward him that morning.
"Spar with me again."
"Hm?" Yuki Yuichi was taken aback by the request, as was Kurenai Yuhi beside him.
Yuki Yuichi thought for a moment and declined somewhat tactfully: "Another spar?"
"Didn't you lose quite miserably last time?"
"Maybe we should skip it?"
Hearing his words, Kakashi Hatake's fists tightened, his face flushing with indignation. "Enough talk!"
"Last time was just an accident!"
"Really, Fifty-Fifty, you're just not up to it right now," Yuki Yuichi said, shaking his head with a sigh.
"This time I will use the Hatake Style Kenjutsu!" Kakashi Hatake gritted his teeth; he had originally just wanted to see if Yuki Yuichi had made any progress, but the boy was truly infuriating.
Last time, he had only lost by a hair!
"But last time, you were pinned to the ground and beaten from the very start," Yuki Yuichi stated the truth, but seeing Kakashi Hatake's unconvinced expression, he sighed.
"There's really no helping you, is there? Fine, I accept!"
