Background

Kakashi is the son of Hatake Sakumo, the White Fang of the Leaf. Sakumo trained him before enrolling him in the Ninja Academy, and Kakashi had already learned much of the Academy curriculum before classes began. He was raised with medicinal baths that strengthened his body beyond that of an ordinary child. 2 11 12

At the Academy, Kakashi quickly developed a rivalry with Yuki Yuichi. He challenged Yuichi to repeated spars, using Hatake Style Sword Technique and Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique, but Yuichi defeated him through superior physical ability and genjutsu.
