Background / History

Lei Bao led the Lei Clan, a native Green Sun Town power that, alongside the Xie Clan, regularly suppressed the Lin Clan and Mad Blade Martial Hall. He was one of the town's few Heaven Origin Realm experts and personally presided over the hunting competition at the Beast Horn Arena. 10 14 15

He recognized Lin Ge as Green Sun Town's rumored foremost genius. After Lin Ge advanced to the Heaven Origin Realm, Lei Bao concluded that allowing him to mature would eventually doom the Lei Clan. 14 20

Appearance

Lei Bao is an older man of roughly Lin Zhentian's generation, usually carrying an austere and intimidating presence. 14

Lei Bao is ruthless, decisive, and acutely aware of long-term threats. Rather than tolerate Lin Ge's rise, he repeatedly attempts to kill him even when doing so could trigger open war with the Lin Clan and alienate other Green Sun Town factions. 20 22

His pride makes humiliation particularly dangerous. After Lin Ge repels him at the Beast Horn Arena, Lei Bao loses his composure and continues pressing the attack despite his depleted Yuan Power and the danger to his clan. 21 23 Following his severe defeat during the assault on the Lei estate, however, he regains his composure and argues that Lin Ge's youth means he can still be eliminated before his talent becomes insurmountable. 31

He is also coercive in personal matters: he forces a mysterious woman into becoming his concubine and threatens her during their ceremony. 29

Story Role / Major Arcs

Hunting Competition and Beast Horn Arena

Lei Bao oversees the hunting competition, observes Lin Ge's strength, and becomes increasingly determined to prevent the Lin Clan genius from growing stronger. After Lin Ge breaks through to the Heaven Origin Realm, Lei Bao uses Thunderbolt Flash to try to kill him. 15 20

Lin Ge repels him with the first sword of the Thirty-Six Swords of Heaven-Destroying Earth-Shattering, leaving Lei Bao humiliated and enraged. Lei Bao nevertheless insists on continuing the fight until Luo Cheng allies with the Lin Clan and forces the Lei and Xie Clans to withdraw. 21 23

Plot Against the Lin Clan

Lei Bao and Xie Qian plan a rapid assault on the Lin Clan before Mad Blade Martial Hall can intervene, while monitoring Lin Ge to prevent his escape. 29

During his birthday ceremony, Lin Ge, Lin Zhentian, and Luo Cheng surround the Lei estate, turning Lei Bao's celebration into the opening of a clan war. 29 30

Battle at the Lei Clan Estate

Lei Bao initially confronts Lin Ge directly but is forced back by a single palm exchange. He then crushes the Lei Clan jade tablet to call hidden Heaven Origin Realm reinforcements. 30

Even with four elders joining him, Lei Bao is severely wounded by Lin Ge and requires Blood Coagulation Powder to recover. He then coordinates with Lei Feng, Lei Mu, and the other elders to isolate and kill Lin Ge. 31 32

Additional Lei Clan reinforcements arrive after Lei Bao's Thunderbolt Flash fails again. Lin Ge reveals his Origin Pellet Realm aura, leaving Lei Bao's side facing an opponent far stronger than anticipated. 33
