Background / History

Luo Tian transmigrated into the Dragon Ball world and was born as an Angel in Age 737. Unlike most Angels, he has yellow rather than blue skin. He began life with an adult body, an endless lifespan, and power near that of a God of Destruction. On the Grand Priest’s instruction, he entered the mortal world to develop his Angel Power through experience, cultivation, insight, and emotion. 1

He selected Planet Vegeta as his first training ground and served there as its Captain of the Guard. Before Frieza destroyed the planet, he advised Bardock to send Kakarot away. Vegeta later recognized him from his childhood on Planet Vegeta. 1 45

After reaching Earth, Luo Tian rescued Tights from two criminals and was invited to live with her family. He became part of Bulma’s life from her childhood onward, later accompanying her during the early Dragon Ball search before leaving when the journey ceased contributing to his cultivation. 4 6 8

Appearance

Luo Tian has retained the same adult appearance since birth and does not age. His Angel physiology gives him yellow skin rather than the blue skin common among other Angels. 1 18 87

Luo Tian predicts Goku and Raditz’s deaths, begins introducing Ultra Instinct to Goku, and deliberately refrains from solving every Saiyan conflict himself. After Goku dies, Luo Tian sends him to King Kai rather than continuing his training personally. 12 22 25

On Namek, he meets Merus, obtains a Dragon Ball from the Grand Elder, and reveals that his divine rank exceeds that of a Supreme Kai. He returns to Bulma immediately when she is endangered and flies her back to Earth. 59 78 86
