Bulma grows from the child who first meets Luo Tian into a striking young woman; at sixteen, Luo Tian notes that he has watched her grow up from a “little brat.” 7

History

Early Life and Dragon Ball Quest

Bulma met Luo Tian when she was six years old and immediately became fascinated by him. As a child, she declared that she would become his girlfriend when she grew up if Tights did not want him. 6 7

At age ten, Bulma found a Dragon Ball in her family warehouse and researched its origins. Luo Tian promised to accompany her once she was old enough to search for the complete set. 7 At sixteen, before starting high school, she began the journey using her Dragon Radar and recruited Luo Tian as her companion. Their route led them to Mount Paozu and their first meeting with Little Goku. 7 8

Bulma, Goku, and Luo Tian travelled together during the search, but Luo Tian later left the expedition. The first Dragon Ball wish was squandered by Oolong, leaving Bulma disappointed. 8

Saiyan Conflict and Namek Expedition

By the time Goku had become a father, Bulma was nearing thirty and increasingly worried about aging while Luo Tian remained unchanged. She continued to conceal her feelings for him, while having no romantic interest in Yamcha. 9

After Raditz’s arrival, Bulma recovered his Scouter and began studying its technology. 16 During the later battle against Vegeta and Nappa, Luo Tian used his Scepter to let her watch the battlefield remotely; this was among the events that convinced her he was not an ordinary human. 32

Following Piccolo’s death, Bulma immediately identified Namek as a possible source of replacement Dragon Balls. She helped prepare Kami’s recovered spaceship, then travelled to Namek with Luo Tian, Krillin, and Gohan. 52 57 When Frieza Force soldiers destroyed their ship, she was stranded until Luo Tian flew her back to Earth in roughly ten minutes. 61 86

After returning, Bulma learned that Luo Tian was a godlike being with limitless life. Her desire to remain youthful became more urgent after learning that he intended to remain on Earth for decades. 87

Android and Time Travel Era

During the Android crisis, Bulma accompanied Luo Tian into Dr. Gero’s laboratory, analyzed the Android files, and became involved in Android 16’s activation. 132 133 137 She also recognized the significance of the multiple Time Machines discovered during the Cell conflict. 144

Her future counterpart successfully created a Time Machine, a feat that surprises even Bulma herself when she learns of it. 130 In the present, Bulma remains essential to operating and refuelling Trunks’s machine, though Whis and Beerus regard time manipulation as a grave offense. Luo Tian intervenes when Beerus threatens her over it. 316
