History

Early Attacks on the Snake-People Tribe

Soul Hall first appears through Protector Wu's attempt to seize Queen Medusa's Heavenly Flame. The Hall exploits weaknesses in the Snake-People barrier and attacks during Medusa's evolution, deploying Protector Wu and two Dou Huang-level agents. 8 10 11

The invasion escalates when a Venerable Elder uses a soul vortex to restrain Medusa while Protector Wu attacks her with vengeful-soul chains. Xiao Zhan breaks the Venerable Elder's restraint, kills him, and forces the surviving Snake-People to abandon the ruined Holy City for Snake Abyss Oasis. 18

Protector Wu's Death and the Blood Soul Guide

Despite his severe wounds, Protector Wu returns to Snake Abyss Oasis to steal either Medusa's origin essence or the Green Lotus Core Flame. He detonates the Ten Thousand Soul Banner when cornered, but Xiao Zhan purifies the released souls with the Green Lotus Fire Prison and annihilates him. 24

Before dying, Protector Wu plants the Blood Soul Guide on Xiao Zhan. The mark exposes Xiao Zhan's position to the Hall and draws further Venerable Elder-level attention to the oasis. 24 25

Retaliation by the Hall Master and Saint

After Gu You's clone is destroyed, Hun Mietian attacks Xiao Zhan from afar, severely injuring him despite the protection of the Bronze Immortal Palace ring. 28 The residual annihilating power of Soul Hall's Saint continues to erode Xiao Zhan's body afterward. 29

Gu You Saint eventually descends in person at Demon Peak of Bones, freezing time and space before attempting to capture Xiao Zhan, Xiao Yan, and Xiao Yi Xian. Xiao Zhan awakens during the assault and counters him with a Dragon-Phoenix- and chaos-infused Flame God Seal. 44

Expansion in the Northwest Region

Soul Hall seeks collaborators beyond its own ranks. Its Soul Puppet approaches Yun Shan with a Zong-Breaking Pill and demands cooperation concerning the Misty Cloud Barrier. 51 Yun Shan is later resurrected and empowered by Soul Hall before attacking Xiao Yi Xian at Snake Abyss Oasis. 67

Old Ghost Zhaixing leads a major Soul Hall force into the Ten Thousand Dragon-Phoenix Domain, demanding the Dragon-Phoenix Bloodline and Rule Strange Fetus. Soul Hall toxins enter through the failing barrier and pollute the domain's Dragon Qi. 78 79

After its forces are repelled, the Hall triggers a buried self-destruct mechanism in the oasis's earth vein. The resulting destructive energy, soul poison, and later Earth Vein contamination threaten the pagoda even after the immediate battle ends. 80 81 91
